Panic as dreaded One Million Boys robbery gang writes Ojo, Badagry residents
Four the past three days, residents of Ojo and Badagary local government areas have not slept following a recent letter purportedly written to the residents by the dreaded and ruthless robbery gang called One Million Boys in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

According to some residents, the letter was written to them following the arrest of four members of the gang after their recent operation in the area that left many residents injured, with many losing their valuables to the gang.

In what seemed to be a reprisal attack, the letter reportedly informed the residents of their coming and asked them to keep money for them or be prepared to die.
The threat has leftt the residents in fear and they have resorted to self help by keeping vigil.

When our reporter visited the area on Thursday, some residents, who confirmed the recent attacks and the threat letter sent by the gang, said they are afraid and had to mobilize themselves to be awake all night.
P.M.NEWS gathered that at least 100 members of the gang struck in the night recently.

Some of the areas attacked include Ojo, Iba, Shibiri, Agbara, Afromedia, Okokomaiko, Ijanikin and other areas located in Ojo and Badagry local government areas.

According to eyewitness account, during the recent raids, residents who did not have money or valuables to give to them were attacked with machetes.
The victims are in various hospitals receiving treatment.

P.M.NEWS also learnt that women were not spared, as some of them were raped and asked to have sex with their blood relations.
However, while the atrocity was going on, some youths mobilized themselves and resisted their operation and in the process four suspects were apprehended and handed over to the police, while the rest escaped.

Arrested suspects were handed them over to the police at Ajangbadi division.
When our reporter went to Ajangbadi police division, the DPO was not around to confirm the arrest.

However, our reporter was reliably informed that the suspects were transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba for interrogation.

At the SCID, Panti, our reporter confirmed that the suspects were there and their case was handled by the IPO identified as Inspector Austin before the suspects were transferred to Zone 2 Command, Onikan where they were reportedly set free following directives.

The police will not mobilize their men now and get on ground to secure people of the area. It's after the attack they'll now come around picking innocent people.
I'll continually advocate for police reform, as what we have on ground now are merely crime aiding personels who are dedicated to compounding the pains and sufferage of innocent people.

Pay the Maiguards and advise them to withdraw their threats.

There are smarter ways of asking for a pay-rise.

Some people don't know the difference between SUSPECT and criminals. Are they supposed to arrest suspect at first?

These guys are ruthless. They robed a whole blocks of 16 flats in Festac town on different occasions. And yes, they forced blood relations to have sex, they rape and also kill. A guy was killed by this gang when he refused to have sex with his mother. Worse part is this operations took hours but no police will be on ground to tackle this bunch of vampires. Best protection is GOD and better cage-like burglary round your house.

Almost all the roads in Ojo and Badagry are littered with burnt tyres lit by residents and vigilante to ward off the marauding gang.

Sooner than later the roads that took government decades to build will be destroyed by excessive heat From the burning tyres.

Government should rise up to this challenge and act fast before things become worst.

We hear police siren every night as they patrol the highway but the robberies take place in the streets and homes.
