The Decision was based on over-riding public interest. The decision is not different from what the Supreme Court pronounced in Awo Vs Shagari, NPN vs UPN in 1979.

Ofcourse Wike's victory is an advantage to Buhari.

First off, Wike will probably decamp to APC in the coming months.
Second, Wike would be better left in that position as he is aggressively working to curtail the IPOB terrorist organization in Rivers States.

No need to bother him or influence that courts rulings even if it could be possible.

Wike wont bother Ameachi and Ameachi wont bother wike. If it must happen it would be in the courts.

Secondly,you can see that Apc was so desperate to claim river state,relocated tribunal to Abuja,using dss to harass witnesses,made Ameachi,minister despite all the corruption allegations,nullified almost all the elections Pdp won in rivers state.
You cannot thank a thief that tried to steal your money,and failed.
Gej did not try to steal power,he lost and conceded promptly without inciting violence,going to tribunal,appeal,supreme court,which Apc Bubu would have done!
