Yeyegist:Congrats to the lady. However the bolded is an unnecessary lie. I personally know at least 2 Nigerians who finished with Distinction in Advanced Chemical Engineering from Imperial College. One graduated in 2013 and is currently a research assistant at Imperial, while the other graduated in 2014. |

asEdeyHOT:Young man, do you have a distinction from an Ivy League university? No? I thought as much too. Celebrate the one that achieved what you desired but didn't get! |

GiantParrot:Thank you! The claim was straight in the face bogus from the moment I read it. Many Nigerians get distinctions year in year out from UK top unis anyways. |

Yeyegist:The girl's name is Christiana Esio Okwong-udo,and she's from Oron. Why did you put christiana Udoh" to make it sound like she's from ibibio?I know about all your secret propaganda.Only those with third eyes can see beyond the surface of things. Just like someone created a silly thread implying that Oron,Efik and anag are all ibibios. This story occurred since early 2015.Why post it now? http://pulse.ng/student/imperial-college-london-nigerian-teenager-gets-phd-scholarship-for-emerging-best-masters-student-id3797074.html |

AyakaDunukofia:Oron people are very intelligent ,and they have a great potential if given the oportunity. They are also very industrious. They'e always been travellers. They travel far and wide to make money . I have great understanding of human behavioural patterns and I know this fact very well. It's a shame that Oron does not have the independence to exert it's force. in fact I see similarities between anambra igbo people and Oron people .They are proud people .they also have elements of evil in them like pride, arrogance, greed, jealousy etc just like igbo people . and all of these can be a little of an impediment to growth because others would do all they can to weigh you down for fear of being oppressed if you gain power. That is why an igbo person will not be elected president of Nigeria and that's why the Akwa ibom people are afraid of Oron governor. In order words ,Oron people are their own worst enemy just as igbo people are their own worst enemy. |

Look, this is a clear indication that something is fundamentally wrong with Nigeria Education System and the providers of Education should cover their faces in shame. The leaders can't provide a meaningful governance for the people without looting the treasury dry and cannot provide a quality education without bias, intimidation and harassment. It is a complete shame. Why is it that Nigerians excel in their chosen careers and educational pursuit outside the Country and yet can't do it in their own Country. I bet you if this young lady could have achieved this feat in Nigeria. Something urgent need to be done to revive our education system. Congratulations to you my dear system. May you continue to wax stronger. |

asEdeyHOT:Okay, so you attended an Ivy League, did you finish with a distinction? Well the point I'm actually making here is no matter what happens, when you see a good thing celebrate. If you have to criticise, do it with the aim of helping (constructive criticism). The tone of your voice and the conclusion of the result not being a big thing wasn't the coolest. Yes it's anonymous but the world is a small place. Cheers. |

Hard work naturally breeds pride and arrogance. The US and the West are good examp!es. Work hard and become successful on your own right...What people think of you after is less important. |

You really need help sir, cos Allah didn't send Prophet Muhammad to teach us this. Leave sham and fakeness for other religions. This is not our way in Islam. If I ever need any help, I'd talk with my ar-rahman, ar-raheem, Al-Malik, Al-Quddus, and As-Salam, not a mere mortal like you who is definitely more problem-invested than his dumb solicitors/patients. Get a job, and get a life, nigga! Ajibolohunsoro: |

This governor isn't he the one that took a pic with a dead man claiming he was helping out? He has a nack for pictures, trying so hard to show he's a good person. I can bet that this isn't the only lady that has achieved such feet . |

Obasanjo hails Nigerian genius, Osita Onuma of Univ of London PRESIDENT Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated Mr. Osita Onuma, a Nigerian who recorded the best academic result at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London. Following Onuma's feat which is said to be unprecedented in the history of the 124-year-old institution, the President has directed Nigeria's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Prince Bola Ajibola, to attend the University's convocation on May 6, where Onuma would deliver a valedictory address as the best student. The Nigerian, a post-graduate student, scored 98.85 on a scale of 100 points. He was also said to have scored 4.96 out of 5 points, during his undergraduate programme at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In his April 22 letter to Onuma, the President asked him to call personally on him in Abuja whenever he (Onuma) returned home, for a personal congratulation. According to Obasanjo, Onuma's performance has proven that quality would always triumph despite odds that seemed insurmountable. He added that Onuma was a role model whose achievements would certainly inspire all Nigerians to success in their different endeavours. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/soc.culture.nigeria/78GHZoPf4vQ |

I have an encounter with one of them, they are proud people that keep them backward in Akwa Ibom. I prefer to do business with an annang man. |
