Troops on Monday carried out an offensive and rescue operation around Mafa, Dikwa and Kala area of Borno State.
The areas were regularly terrorised by members of the Boko Haram sect.
The intervention of the military saw over 500 persons, mainly women and children being rescued​.​
The raid also led to the killing of about 50 Boko Haram fighters, while some weapons were equally recovered.
DAILY POST obtained images of the assault on Tuesday.

bt this is no more breaking news. its high time the nigeria army start showing the exact pictures of those killed, captured and those rescued because we can no more differentiate btw real and fake news again.

How can a defeated force holding no territory still have capacity to keep 500 persons?
Where did they keep them if they hold no territory and have been chased out of all their enclaves?

Maybe there are two sets of Boko haram. The last time I read on a media that they attacked the village of Dalori killing and burning little Children, Is it the same boko haram that spare these women and Children for some time?
