Oil has been the main source of income in this country. The discovery of oil has brought about wealth and poverty to this country. It's so shameful that the revenue generated from oil sales over the years that should have put this country amongst developed countries cannot be accounted. It ought not to be so.

Let's stop deceiving ourselves there's no unity in this country. The only time I've noticed a little unity is during football matches. Also, let it be known that there's no difference between the Hausas/Fulanis, Yorubas and Igbos. The three of them only care about themselves. Let no Niger Deltan be deceived by the sugar-coated tongue or by allowed to be cajoled by any group promising us heaven and earth.

This is a question I have for every Niger Deltan. What is the guarantee joining biafra won't amount to another mini Nigeria? What's the tendency they won't wipe out our identities by internal colonization? Why do you guys feel they badly want South South in their pipe dream? My brothers from the Niger Deltans open your eyes and read in between the lines. Our leaders whom ought to be representing us have failed us. They're part of our problems. Nothing good can come out from the likes of EK Clark, Tompolo, Ayiri, Osho Baba, Akpabio and co. The time have come for us to take our destinies into our own hands and stop depending on our leaders.

By Niger Delta I mean Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa Ibom.

I concur 100%. There's no difference between those three. Their only agenda is to lord of us. On the otherhand, only a foolish Niger Deltan will decide to go into an alliance with any secessionist group. They only have one agenda and which to marginalise, steal and oppress us. I pity the likes of dearpreye and who cannot read in between the lines and see what those people who made our son fail woefully as president really are. Thank God for tonyebarcanista, martineverest, Goodboiyy, spanishkid, edcure, enahi, truckpusher, tombraokoto and co who know these people for what they really are and what they represent.

If my Aniocha south is lacking development in any area, I will hold the LG Chairman responsible or house of reps member rep. Us and NOT these "Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo" want to kill us and take our oil.
- what have Bayelsa with just 8LGAs done with the huge FG monthly allocation it receives 4rm Aso Rock?

I want Anioma state that will be built on Human Resource and Not these Lazy and Pathetic OUR OIL all the time.

Edo state is not part of Biafra (except the Igbanke people). Are the Igbo people of Asaba people part of this SS? Are Anioma people in this SS? Are the Igbo Rivers in this SS? Who exactly is SS? Let nobody decieve themselves. There are only two choices for the minority tribes of Southern Nigeria.

Join the majority Igbos in leaving Nigeria or take your chances and stay with the Northerners and Yorubas in Nigeria

That is why it is important that this SS nonsense must stop. The tribes have to decide for themselves in a referendum what they want. Some people are using this SS to speak for other tribes and this is not good. The choice is out there, stay or leave. It is that simple.

Yes!! every true Niger Deltan knows this. If you don't know, at least my fellow urhobos know this. We are better off on our own. If Nigeria divides tomorrow, Niger Delta Republic to me would be more feasible than Biafra, after all we're bthe most sustainable region in Nigeria.

@op I think y'all need to stop emphasizing on oil as the only thing that binds Us.

I hate to come on nairaland and insult a particular tribe not because I hate them but because I always notice their greed when it comes to the issue of oil. It irritates the he'll out of me.

I would really like to see.something different written about Niger Delta and not always about oil.
The Igbos fucking irritates me on this forum, their greed stinks.
