Residents of Mpape in Bwari area council of Abuja woke up this morning to a very shocking and sad news of eviction and demolition notice at the same time in the popular mpape market. The street traders and shop owners in the area alleged that they weren’t given any notice before today, they came to the market to conduct their business as usual and they were greeted with the presence of caterpillars and bulldozers stationed along the abattoir road of the market with heavily armed soldiers. They went shop by shop to pass the eviction notice giving them just 12 hours to vacate the premises or risk being pulled down by force without an alternative shop or market to go, just 20 minutes after the notice the bulldozer started work on some of the alleged illegal structures along the market road.

A copy of the eviction notice was made available to the crew of elofusim.com which reads that the notice was given on 9th feb 2016 by 10:44am

We are yet to speak with the environmental health officer whose signature is on the eviction notice as at the time of filling this report.

"Just like Ambode did in Oshodi, the major aim of this move by APC government is to destabilize/marginalize Ndigbos" - IPOD youths tongue tongue tongue tongue

For your information, if the move to bulldoze illegal structures built along the market road which obstruct the free movement of vehicles is part of change processes: I am over enjoying it here.

You can leave zoo Nigeria to America/Britain so that you can continue to build illegal structures along the market roads over there.

God bless Nigeria.

With the way things are going, it is obvious that this country is no longer met for the poor.
When Mr. Ibu heard his shop at mpape was demolished.

hope they gave the shop owners enough advanced notice o. we can do better than this, but orderliness needs to be restored to Nigeria quickly

My two years old boy will not type this. I can see why your agitation for Biafra can never sail through if this is what is left to fight the government. Even when the real warlords with brains and initiative fought they fail, the remains do not even have directions at all. Oponu gbogbo.
