It's not easy. I remembered mine. It promised me changes before i bought it. But since i bought it, it keeps travelling from place to place. And i nick-named it ''TRAVULA''
My fear is that it shouldn't die on it way why travelling. I'm stil hoping for changes from it.
It came back yesterday. But looks like it wuld be going thru de desert soon.

reminds me of the first rottweiler pup I got years ago. invested a lot of money, time and hopes on that dog..only for it to just die on me like that...the only time I ever shed a tear for a dog..

so sad....
this reminds me of a lady who left her sleeping baby under d watchful eyes of her loyal dog and hurried to get sum baby stuffs nearby....

wen she came back,she saw blood all over d place and around d dog's mouth and part of d body... so she tot d dog had killed her baby...with anger combined with sadness she beat her dog mercilessly until d dog died...

suddenly,she heard a noise dat seemed like a child's cry...she looked under the bed and saw her baby crying but in a safe corner but shockingly saw a huge lifeless python dat had already been crushed to dead
..
..dat was wen she realized dat d blood on her dead dog was because it fought and killed d snake just to protect d baby...she started crying for the dog and wished d dog cud speak....and maybe say wat happened.... too bad..now d poor dog is dead....!

Yesterday i saw this cutie which had been maltreated, malnourished and rejected i got guys of like mind (my brothers) and we rescued him, fed him and gave him a warm bath he recovered and could stand and walk but kept vomiting he had no strength to eat so we had to use a syringe to give him liquid feed.
He got better around 12:30 midnight and played a little then he promised me that he would be strong and not die i was lying down on the floor to play with him so he gave me a promising peck before i went to sleep. I knelt down beside my bed and prayed that he would live but unfortunately, as my bro and i opened the door to greet him this morning he raised up his head to look at us as if he was waiting to say goodbye then he cried a little and stretched 3 tines after which it was finished.
Hmnn i stood there shocked for some minutes not knowing if i shld run m*d or not.
I am so angry right now and im going to find the wicked owner.

Did you bath it with izal ? It's dangerous to do so.
Did you feed it with food containing onions ? Onions is bad fir dog.

After feeding, you should have allowed it to rest. Sorry for your loss embarassed

Sir, with my experience with dogs and having reared a lot, you shouldn't have given the dog a bath that moment you found it, my vet once told me that no matter the weather, hot or cold, if you shower a dog they always feel cold internally so its advisable to shower them when they are healthy but that moment it was not strong internally, i also see from the pictures that the dog did not even dry up when you woke up to check and take some of those pictures...

Thanks for helping and giving the poor dog a good final moments though God bless you

A very kind and humane thing you did right there, taking and caring for the dog. But you also took a very big and possibly dangerous risk for yourself being as you did not know what was wrong with the dog in the first instance. suppose it was parvo and you or those around you own dogs........? All the same you did a very nice and commendable thing for the little fellow and he would nevr have forgotten it had he lived.

The story kind of reminds me of a slightly similar incident a long time ago when i was still a kid. My brother and I rescued a badly maltreated cat and nursed it back to a semblance of good health all through the day..... Only for our family dog to kill it that night.

I remember Losing my favorite dog, brownie. Actually have 2(male and female). Had him for 6 good years going to 7. Very big dog. Just walked away for hours then a neighbor saw his dead body on the street. Now the most painful part. Immediately rushing to the scene only to discover he's been carried away by someone else angry

. Didn't even get to see him on how bad he was bleeped up. I mean my efforts... Just like that.. cry

If were the governor, I would appoint you Director General of ACAS...Animal Control, Abandonment and Safety. That will give you the power to prosecute these heartless owners t hat abandon animals. You have innate passion and skill for the job. Have you also thought about securing scholarship with Animal NGOs to study vetinerary medicine abroad. I knew a guy that secured one through scholarship. He made a strong case that he genuinely love animals with pics of rescued animals.

Sometimes I don't blame owners if they abandon their pets if u've ever managed a dog with parvo virus n u knw d prognosis most persons will want to hasten it( care giver burn out) well if u r faced with such dog again pls try d following:
1. Use a PPE(personal protective equipment ) as this dog might just av died of a dx that cld also affect man. Might tk a long tym that u might even av forgotten that it was ur contact with this dog that is responsible.
A handglove,face mask etc are examples of ppe
2. When faced with such situation next Tym OP try to feed parenterrally with normal saline.( give am drip intravenously or subcutaneously) e nor hard jst check YouTube "fluid administration to dogs"
3. To other dog lovers "PARVO CAN BE MANAGED"
