Yes gravitions are likely existential,though still at a hypothetical stage.

Physics always endeavours to extrapolate thoughts and hypothesis...a very simple example is when archimedis inadvertently droped an object into water and some volumes of water where displaced....there and then he extrapolated the very event and the idea of measuring the volume of irregular solids was generated.....this even helped in the laws of floatations .
