Flyoruboy:
Smh. My goodness gracious. You obviously think you are dealing with Alaba marketers coz you are not clever at all Mr. An indigenous company appoints a CEO of a foreign background and you are here displaying your ignorance. Ownership of a company is not determined by the CEO boy. A corporate entity's ownership is determined by who the founder is an his stake in the amount of shares. The board can fire and replace the CEO any day. Only a founder with controlling shares of 51% can remotely boast of ownership. Ifeanyi Uba's capital oil is in receivership coz he obviously lost control of the company he founded owing to debt financing and stuff. Unless you can prove that Tunji didn't found GZI and that he doesn't have controlling shares you have no right to tell me he doesn't own the company. Na bad belle dey worry you.
Before i started discussion with you i believed you most be a learned who will do more research on the company in question not throwing tantrum. Read about the managerial team of the company then come we will argue not this tantrum of self acclaimed intelligence

Dude, teacher don't teach me nonsense coz I am a founder of two startups withg investors on my board, so you are in no position to bamboozle me with your pseudo knowledge about corporate structure. Bottom line is that you are trying fruitlessly to make a moot point about company or business ownership from an ignorant position.

*Sterling bank is not owned by yoruba also it is consolidate of 5 different banks.
* gzi is not owned by yoruba. I have already ironed it out with you. It is owned by a consolidate of group of foreign owner, vetro and standard charter
Guy, you have a funny way of applying standards, honestly. It's like you just fabricate your own standards all in an attempt to sound learned. Are you implying that Igbo companies are all Sole Proprietorships? Or that Yoruba companies are the only ones with sound enough footing to attract foreign capital and investments? Coz your arguments are absolutely devoid of any sound basis.

Ok, going by your warped logic, who would you say owns Diamond and Fidelity banks? Are they owned by the Chairmen of the board, one person (sole proprietorship), by a conglomerate of Igbos, a corporation, or what? huh I have gone through the list of the board of directors of skye and sterling banks and found that they have more Yorubas on their board of directors than there are Igbos on Fidelity and Diamond banks boards. On Diamond Bank's board, there are only 2 listed Igbos with 6 remaining non-igbos out of 8 total members. Fidelity has 9 igbos, 2 Yorubas and 3 Hausas on its board. Skye Bank has 10 Yorubas, 1 igbo, 2 calabar, and 3 Northerners on its board. Sterling Bank has 10 Yorubas, 1 Edo, 1 Indian, 1 Northerner, 1 Baylesan on its board. First bank has 8 Yorubas, 2 Igbos, 3 Northerners on its board. Standard Chatered Bank Nigeria has 6 Yorubas, 1 Hausa, 3 foreigners on its board. GZI has two Yorubas (including the Chairman) and 6 foreigners on its board.

Now, I ask you, based on these lists how do YOU (Mr. Smart Alec) determine ownership? Is it based on the total number of Yorubas/Igbos on the board versus others? Or is it based on some.. insider information in your possession as to the share value of each member of the board? Unless you can produce such facts, you my friend need to quit making an embarrassment of yourself with your baseless arguments. What exactly is YOUR criteria for judging/determining ownership? Don't tell me it's all based on assumption huh

First of all, Ibeto doesn't manufacture cement

However, Nice to know Anambra indigenes are doing well but you should also know that companies owned by Ogun state indigenes are numereous. Therefore, I will gladly post companies owned by Ogun state indigenes later and their products if possible.

Remember, i am not doing it to prove any point but i am doing it to promote indigenous products. That's all.
Re: Lagos Loses Investors To Ogun by ODVanguard:
@: Please remove Smile communications Ltd from that list of Anambra indigenes owned companies. That is a South African coy and not an indigenous one. Irene Charnley founded the company and is the CEO. Dr. Ernest Azudiala Obiejesi is just a shareholder in the company. I still wonder why the company chose to launch their West African operations at Ibadan before moving to Lagos. Since it's entry into the West African market, their services are only so far available in Lagos, Ibadan, PH, Abuja and Benin. shocked shocked. I wonder why they are yet to deploy anywhere in the SE huh huh Shey una no dey use internet for that endhuh

*mainstreet bank and skye bank plc is not owned by yoruba. Mainstreet was formerly owned by federal govt(amcon) and was acquired by skye bank which is it's self not owned by any single person. The ceo (a yoruba man) was appointed. Ceo does not necessarly mean own pls.
*Sterling bank is not owned by yoruba also it is consolidate of 5 different banks.
* gzi is not owned by yoruba. I have already ironed it out with you. It is owned by a consolidate of group of foreign owner, vetro and standard charter
Since, Skye bank acquired Mainstreem bank then it now belongs to Skye bank, right?

Can you pls tell us which Nigerian bank is owned by a single person? And if none, who are the people?

Can you pls tell us who is the largest share holder in Sterling bank plc?

Gzi industries grin, I think the thing shock you kwa? grin
