I don't really like the idea. It seems like the kind of monopoly that Enriched Dangote. Let every man hussle for the individual sales of cars and let the government have no official company for anything.

You negotiate / lobby just like everyone else to have such opportunities. I hope you do not end up insinuating Innoson does not have the right to be the official car in Nigeria but it is yet to achieve that n the only common sensical thing to do is lobby for such concession not demand like its a right.

The IVM Fox is a small hatchback in that car segment. I think it is meant to be a popular entry level car and it was originally called the IVM Taxi, but the name was changed because some Nigerians felt that it was a derogatory name.

There's also the IVM Umu, which is a city car (the same car segment as the Toyota Yaris and Honda City). Go through the thread, I've posted pictures of the other cars.

I completely agree with you. This was the same thing that made Dangote extremely rich and destroyed other growing companies. We should never allow such to repeat itself.

It didn't occur to you guys when giving 5% Abi. Meanwhile the person you have 90% never made FG patronize innoson now you want PMB to patronize innoson so that you all can jump on nairaland to shout that GEJ created the auto road map and APC is enjoying it .
For your information the board and management of PAN had paid a courtesy visit to the president and presented their products to him . Nine months on innoson has not deemed it fit to do the same .
With the way Nigerians think and how fearful we are ,do you think any senator will rely on ibo made jeep? Even Twitter senator only uses innoson buses for his staff he himself doesn't drive a innoson car

Yes i concur.
The governors especially from South east should use it as official car. Probably 40% of their cars should be Innoson.
Lagos state and Bayelsa used it in last administration. BRT buses

That is one area Rochas tried, all ministries, agencies & local governments in Imo state use only Innoson vehicles, I have also seen many being used by churches, companies & individuals in the East though I dont know about the rest of the country.
