Now to the part of casting out a demon in the name of a man of God that I can't say.. But praying in the name of a man of God can be gotten from the Bible. If you read the book of Genesis up to exodus ypu would see whre God himself appeared to Moses and told him I am the the God of your father Abraham, God of Jacob and the likes in Exodus 3 and so many other passages like that even in the new testament.. That been said..

When you look at first kings when Elisha got the mantle from Elijah and he wanted to path the waters he said "Where is the Lord God Of Elijah and he smote the waters and the Bible says the water parted". So which means the there is a God of Elijah.

So if some one prays in the name of a verified and acknowledged man of God I don't believe they aphave committed any wrong..

With my little understanding, Jesus made it clear that only HIS name is SUFFICIENT to cast out demons. Mark 16: 17-18. Ur refs are mainly in the old testament. (am not against the old testament) I have never read it where Paul cast out demon in the name of the God of Peter or John (because they were closer to Jesus than himwhen Jesus was on earth) or even John the baptist.

When the precious stone's seller saw the big ruby, he lay down a red cloth and put the ruby on it. Then he walked in circles around the ruby and bent down and touched his head in front of the ruby.

"From where did you bring this priceless ruby from?" he asked. "Even if I sell the whole world, and my life, I won't be able to purchase this priceless stone.

Stunned and confused, the man returned to the God and told him what had happened. "Now tell me what is the value of life, God?

God said, "The answers you got from the Orange Seller, the Vegetable Seller, the Jeweler & the Precious Stone's Seller explain the value of our life... You may be a precious stone, even priceless, but people may value you based on their level of information, their belief in you, their motive behind entertaining you, their ambition, and their risk taking ability. But don't fear, you will surely find someone who will discern your true value."

In the eyes of God you are very very precious. Respect yourself. You are Unique. No one can Replace you!

Today is my birthday.

I may not have archived what I should materially, (from man's perspective of course), But I have life. And my life is much more valuable to me than any material thing on earth.
For me to acquire anything in this world, I will need to be alive first. And that, God has blessed me with and for this I THANK HIM.
The gift of my life is precious.
The two very dear friends who ran to my hospital bed immidiately they heard about my accident, are both dead today. Everyday, I wish Patrick could take my place and live instead. A great person such as him, shouldn't just die as he did.
And what about MaryJoe? O my God. While I was down, on a Christmas day, she sent food across two states to get to where I was, not as though I didn't have what to eat, but to show how much she cared. If she were alive today, she wld do everything to celebrate this day. But God allowed such a good person to pass. What can I say Lord? Thank You.
I don't know why good people such as this shd pass and am still here.
Whatever it is, let your Will concerning my life be fulfilled Lord.

To me, the reason Jesus consented to the pleading of the demons is this. The demons haven been in heaven before knew how authority worked. They knew that, God had prepared hellfire for them, and a time frame was also fixed as to when that will be effective. They know that while hover host they were I habiting was temporal, they know their destination and how horrible it is down there. They also know that the Name of God is the final authority. So the demon who spoke up quickly ran to that defends knowing Christ will obey the injunction put by God.
It wasn't indeed time for the demons to go to Hades, but Jesus old have sent them there all the same, but to avoid going, he took that position.
It's like using God's law against God. Satan is crafty. When I see or hear this ignorant people who call themselves pastors or prophets and how they carry on about Satan, I just feel sorry for them. Most of them don't have a clue.
Satan has been around, aside from his own wisdom and intelligence which God gave to him, he has been around as long as the earth has endured. What trick does he not Know? What information about humanity is a secret to Satan?
Just see how he quickly he played a very fast one on Jesus. Putting Christ in one corner and kept Jesus from sending him to Hades.

Well put sister analice107, devil and his entourage are smart, cunning and deceitful. Imagine demon de beg not to go hell. Hmmm. What awaits those who refuse God's Word and salvation is unimaginable.

Ghost readers and all alike, if you haven't asked for salvation please don't waste time oh. Hell is real and so is heaven.

As I said there ia a difference between praying to the God of ......... and praying in the name of the God..

They are two different things and they have been sorted out.

Everlasting Father, I thank you for every saint here who have celebrated this day with me. You said we should Celebrate with those who celebrate with us. This, they have done, let celebration never cease in their lives.
In those areas they need you the most, reach out to them. Those concerns which they can't even share with the closest person, meet them there and cause a turn around for them in Jesus Name.

Wen d disciples tried equating dem with Jesus dey disappeared and God spoke from on High "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased hear Him" meaning from dat moment our attention should b focus on Christ. God gave Him a name dat is above all names dat at His name, every knees should bow both in heaven, on earth and even underneath the earth. The name of the Lord Jesus is not only a name but also a place. D psalmist Referred to His name as a strong tower.
This days people do not know d efficacy of that name because dey don't dwell in it. This days u hear ministers mixing it because dey doubt it. You hear things like "shout d name of Jesus three times, Holy Ghost fire three time, the blood of Jesus Three times, some other things several times" all in d name of warfare prayer. You av all you need in Jesus a mention of His name. His name is not an incantation dat you recite. Do a Bible study on Just the name of Jesus and wen next u mention dat name, you will immediately feel His presence.

You are very correct, those guys are beginning to bore me with their shallow minded, daft al taqquiya responses. The more nauseating thing is that they tell a lot of deliberate lies which makes me wonder why they still believe in the religion if they have to lie to promote or defend it.

when u pin them down with a quranic verse, they rush to the hadiths, when u give them upper cut there they tell u is not authentic.... Or u are not a Muslim, when u tell them u are a Muslim/ ex Muslim / well versed in quran... They result to insult, threaten, lies...
Like i said anytime they bring any heavy weight let me know... Whenever they are up for it in the Islamic section, let them take down that cosmetic gown protecting them.

There is a verse in your bible that says a time will come, that a particular people will think if they kill u, they are doing god a service. .. It was actually said by Jesus Christ, now only that verse made me to start looking at Islam critically.
