hmm...this is not parallel o....parallel is about 212 to a dollar..
You're so right, it's about 207 to 1 CAD, i applied online about some few weeks ago i was charged 38,361 NGN for a 185 CAD transaction from my GTBank MasterCard, i called their customer care to explain why i was charged at the rate of 207 NGN to 1 CAD instead of the 144 NGN CBN sells to banks, all what they told me was that card services payment are different from when u make payment from your bank account. I was advised to always call them before i make use of my MasterCard to know the rate for the day.

Hello guys.
God that uses egg to break coconut has ran it for me.
Approval balled in today.

First Application:
Submitted/Biometrics : Sept 15th 2015 (Online)
Medical : October 19th
Medical Passed : October 25th
Denial : November 17th
Conestoga College.

2nd Application
Submission/Biometrics: November 24th (Paper)
No medical request. I submitted my previous medical print out in the new application
Hadn't heard from them after 2 months plus, sent CIC an email, they responded and requested my new LO which I sent immediately.
Approval dropped this morning.
to God be the Glory.

Purpose for denial were the generic reasons. purpose of visit, fam ties, length of stay, assets and financial status. In my previous application I had dealt with all of these reasons, still I was denied. I felt it was because I applied for a PGD.. so the only thing I changed in my new application was my School. luckily, I had an offer from Carleton .. that's what I changed.

@Bandeco, @Dudubery, @ProMe11,@Favour0011.

Carleton University , M.Eng Electrical and Comp Engineering.

I got approval mail today.. passport has been dispatched.

I applied to Carleton in April, received my offer in November.

Sponsor is my company. But I paid 1 year tuition fees with my money (I showed that in my application ) and had a balance of about 2.5M in my personal account... I earlier applied to conestoga college before, Robotics and Industrial Automation.

Hi peeps...i wanna say thumbs up to u guys for sharing all your experiences so far....its been really helpfull...I have a very perculiar case, perculiar in the sense that, i havent seen anyone with my kinda situation so far..Ill be 34years old by july 6th,but i look much younger than my age..26/27,i finished high school 1999. So i just got admitted to New brunswick community college to do a diploma course in Industrial Control Technology,...My major worry NOW is how to explain to the VOA the long gap between when i finished high school and now 2016.. ALMOST 17years now...I presently work in the broadcast media/tv industry though..I have been through the university, I graduated in 2007,but had an extra year, was involved in exam malpractice during my extra year and was expelled...i appealed countless times but nothing came out of it cos i knew no one....I started working in 2008 eventually, and ive been working since then....

Please guys...my major issue now is...is it advisable to state that i was expelled while in the university when talking about what ive been upto all this past 17 years in my SOP?, will this affect the outcome of my application negatively?will the VO deny me based on this fact OR should i not mention it at all?...Please guys...il appreciate your suggestions and advice please....This is really troubling me

@dessy8 just give one of this reasons 1 U didn't complete cos is nt your dream course, or 2 u started workin with your 1st and 2nd year transcript fell inluv with tht work nw u want to study in tht field u have been workin on,,,, nw tht means u are!! "ready to complete" let's say u became a per time teacher with your Ist year level results and have been helpin high school students, so nw! u want to study arts u understand. Two friends of mine applied with sectional transcript got admission into one of the Canadian uni then applied for visa with same year one result. Just show u have been workin. Than sayin stuffs like expelled, thtz a no no, better still think of somthin nicer

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by thesoj: 11:32pm On Feb 17, 2016
It isn't necessarily difficult. Applicants going for a PGD just need to justify to the VO why they made their course choice and why not a masters. Several applicants have on the first try obtained a TRV with a PGD admission. Having said that, the VO probably views a masters more favorably than a PGD, but even masters applicants get denied. My advice is to get a masters admission if you can, but if not then PGD is ok as long as you can credibly justify it to the VO.
