Hausa, Yoruba Communities Commend Senator Stella Oduah Over Condolence Visit, Sallah Gifts.

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District and former Aviation Minister, Princess Stella Oduah OON had more feathers added to her cap when Hausa and Yoruba Muslim Communities in Onitsha offered special Eid-el-kabir prayers for her and commended her for always seeking and providing for their welfare.

Senator Oduah took a surprise visit to the communities with a handful of her aides where she told the delighted Muslim congregants who were in celebration mood that she decided to come and celebrate with them and share the blessings of Eid-el-kabir with them as their representative in the senator. She used the opportunity to express her condolence to the Muslim community over the tragic death of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia and prayed that God will grant them a peaceful repose.

Senator Oduah called at the palace of the leader of the Hausa Community, Sarkin Hausawan Onitsha, Alhaji Iliyasu Yushau where she was received and presented with cola nuts.

While receiving the Sallah gifts of two giant rams, bags of rice and several cartons of indomie, Alhaji Iliyasu and the Assistant Chief Imam, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed blessed Princess Oduah for her generosity, pointing out that she has always identified with them in their time of need.

According to them, other politicians only come around when they needed their votes but that Senator had since been identifying with them in so may ways and pledged their continued support of her endevours.

The Kabiyesi and leader of the Yoruba Community, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Zubairu III, blessed the Senator and vowed that since the Princess did not forget his community after the elections, his community will not forget her whenever she calls upon them.

The Kabiyesi expressed gratitude to her for the gift of two giant rams, bags of rice, cartons of imdomie among others.

The visit attracted some members of the Anambra North Development Forum, a non political organization led by its director of socials and publicity, Mr. Nonso Ugboma, the director of Admin Mr. Nonso Igwe, Chief Benson Mgbike (director of protocol) the director of Religious affairs Pastor Vin Obi, Nnamdi Ezike among others.

I support, Yorubas and Hausa's and other Nigerians are Free to go for elective offices in the southeast as far as they are qualified and capable of delivering.

Then of what use is the Muslim and the mosques in Igbo land since the host(Igbos) don't do such things...

I thought yorubas said that no one wanted to live in eastern nigeria but the have communities and oba as head with no one lambasting them. When will yorubas stop feeling inferior? Eze ndigbo is different from Eze(oba) lagos or ibadan. While the former is limited to only the igbos the latter comprises of all and sundry. I also saw the thread of hausa head in imo and yoruba head in enugu but i just want to air my voice hear. Has the igbos ever had a disagreement with this heads? Is there anything wrong in monitoring the activities of your people in other state?

I guess most of them are ignorant of the fact that the practice is not limited to Igbos. let us enlighten every body

Sorry, i am not igbo. And who don't know the igbos are the second most populated tribe in every states in Nigeria after the indigenous language.

We never chop or train our kids na to de look for which tribe have a ruler in igboland. How many igbo traditional rules have we heard causing troubles and talking controversially like touts against non igbos.

let us come to terms that citizens of a country are free to live in any part of their country. the are also free to associate and appoints there leaders as long as that act does not infringe on any body's right. let get emotions out of it

as for me I don't like the eze ndigbo in diaspora title...but our brothers from other parts of the country should equally understand that their communities in south east also have their rulers here...in Enugu there is sarakin hausawa as well as d oba of the yoruba community. in my own local govt along Enugu-portharcourt express way there is a large hausa community with a sarkn hausawa as their leader, yet we don't feel threatened by their position because their avtivity is only limited to their people.

If you go anywhere in the world and you find no igbo man...scram!

We may not like the trend. but it is a reality that has come to stay with us. my opinion is -No body is at risk because of it.
