If the government is apprehensive that the witnesses would be harmed in any way whatsoever, its the responsibility of the government to provide witness protection for those witnesses and not to apply to the court for the witnesses to testify masked. That practice offends our law. Offends the constitution and alienates the sacred principle of fair hearing.

You have got a valid argument. But, if Justice should not only be heard to have been done but seen to have been done, will it sum up to justice to masquerade witnesses to testify against an accused given the inherent danger of impersonation and the attendant problem of veiling the demeanors of the witnesses while they are belting out their testimonies which aids judges to ascertain the truism of the individual testimonies?

Sir, you didn't get me. I lost three brothers that were involved in fighting the civil war. At the end, Biafra never came to reality. Ojukwu surrendered and was integrated into Nigerian politics. He lived many years and died as a hero with his family very rich. My own family still live in pains cos of those that we lost. Kanu had started again. His family is abroad. He is very rich from the donations of his adherent. If war should break out now, Kanu and other SE elites will escape while the downtrodden and family breadwinners will be wiped out just like it happened in Ojukwu civil war.
