I've LEARNT MY LESSON......
Driving home after work yesterday,I got to an
accident scene with the victims lying helplessly on the
floor and some kind hearted people making frantic
efforts to get them to the hospital.
I shook my head in pity and zoomed of with some
other motorist.
I even stoped over at Obasi Ogbonna 's office to
exchange banters before heading home.
I was about getting into the shower at home,when a
call came that my mum was involved in an accident
and that she's been rushed to the general hospital.
I was in great shock.
I rushed to the hospital were I met her undergoing
treatment,with bruises and blood stains all over her
body.
(She was the least affected though)
When I tried to find out what really happened,I was
told it was the same accident that I drove past almost
an hour ago . I got engulfed in guilt. My very own
mother was among those lying helplessly by the road
side and I drove past unknowingly.(I wept inside).
My mum was the only person discharged yesterday
after a few stiches of all the victims,as others had
severe injuries..
While myself and one of the good samaritans that
rushed the accident victims to the hospital were
helping my mum get into the vehicle to convey her
back home after she perfected her discharge
conditions,he recognised the vehicle as one of several that drove past after the occuurence and questioned me, of which I embarrasingly addmited (not wanting to deny my mum,like peter who denied Christ in the bible)..

This story of yours won't still incite me to want to help accident victims. No matter who it is, it's none of my businss. There would always be people who would help in such cases, but sadly, I am not one of them. I simply don't care. Lol.

RIP to those that didn't survive. I once carried one accident victim like that.. he died before we got to d hospital.. it was a bike accident..

eh yah,it usually pays to be good...what if every other person had ignored the victims d way u did,what would have become of ur mum?always try to render help to d helpless even if u don't know dem

You are missing the point. There will always be empathetic people who would help accident victims. And there will definitely be people who would help me if I am involved in an accident, irrespective of whether I choose to help others or not. That's how the universe has been designed. It's just sad that I don't possess such kind of luxury.

It was the company's car which had the names of the organization boldly inscribed on it.

It is good that you have shared this story for us all to continue learning.

Those of you doubting that a car can be recognized among many I say to you that it is plausible since it had bold company's inscriptions on it.

A great lessons learnt.
