Eyah sorry ooo, though i have once experienced such, but you can report to Ecobank on this number 01-2260450, surely they'll attend to you and gives appropriate details to your problem.

What he spent to and fro may not really matter in this context. What is important is that he did not condone wrong and fraud by his bank and he was able to make them stop the wrong and do what is right. That is satisfying in itself considering the fact that Nigerian banks are fraudulent institutions.

I still am pissed off with Ecobank seriously. Would have unleashed my vituperations and justified anger on 'em but for the fact that their mails go unanswered and they do not have an over-the-counter direct call line to their Lagos head office like GTB does in most of their branches.

Lol since 3 or 4 days now I've been receiving debit alerts of 50 naira from Stanbic IBTC. Should be well over 300 naira in total now. And they will hear from me. Over the phone wink

Even tho all the articles i read online, none of them actually said that regular saving accounts are exempted. I can remember seeing salary account i think.

Does anyone have a link stating that regular saving accounts are exempted?

the mail i received from skyebank stated that is only current account that are charged. the N50 stamp duty replaces current account earlier percentage charges for withdrawing . the best bet is to mail CBN to get clarification on the circular because is not all banks that understood that English.

Savings account are exempted from the email Gt bank sent to me & they've not charged my account.
Diamond Bank which charged me #900 for January stamp duty charges has just reversed #800. I don't know why they didn't complete it which means they're still owing me #100 which might be returned later cheesy
