The contexts of the visit by GEJ and Buhari are different. While GEJ left Nigeria every year with a large entourage of many Ministers, aides, CAN officials led by Oritsejafor, officials of the Christian Pilgrims Commission, PDP top guns, etc (over 100 people in the delegation), Buhari went to Saudi Arabia on an OFFICIAL TRIP and used the opportunity to observe the Lesser Hajj (with 3 Governors who were originally on the entourage) which took a few hours...

My view, though.

There is no excuse for this. What's bad is bad. Don't sacrifice your humanity on the altar of politics.

Now I see why people insult Buhari anyhow here.. The then opposition threw respect for the exalted office of President of the FRN to the dogs just 'cos of their hate of the then incumbent. This is just sad. APC sowed the wind. Now they are reaping the whirlwind.

This shows that not a lot of people understand how twitter works. El Rufai might have actually endorsed the content of the tweet but he wasn't the one that originated it. Its obvious that he was quoting someone. One would think a Director of New Media would know that, but what do I know.

But yeah, I wonder why our President will decide to go to Mecca to perform haaj on the bill of the Nigerian govt. I'm sure the Koran was very particular about it that you use your own money and your own time. Why the blatant show of his religion? Is Nigeria not a secular country again? Nigerian leaders gan sef no know constitution.

On his Twitter bio, he says "retweets =/= endorsement". Technically, he can argue that he does not share that viewpoint.

Putting aside whatever political bias you may have, what I have said is logical and objective.
