Why Is This Political Equation Like This? by Fadekebisola(op): 8:18am On Feb 21, 2016
Tinubu from Lagos state can decide who becomes a governor in Osun state

Tompolo from Delta state can decide who becomes a governor in Bayelsa state

but why is it impossible for someone from Anambra to decide who becomes a governor in Ebonyi state or someone from Enugu decides who becomes a governor in Imo state...

give your own analysis of this fact without insults or bad-mouthing

thanks peeps

Is that a good thing? That someone can install someone somewhere else? That is, is that what you are insinuating?

Well, as for the south south, Tompolo situation is a bit of an isolated incident. However at large, all the governors in the East, every single one, has a godfather, or sponsor(s), and usually that/those person(s) are from out of state. Furthermore, even after the election, the powers that be in Nigeria usually uphold the shenanigan that was called election. Do you think Theo Orji in jail on election day 2003 without campaign or anything seriously won his selection? O again in 2007 with ALL 34 positions in the state being returned to Abuja? Or Ohakim, or even Udenwa's selection? How did Amaechi emerge and why? What about Nyesom or Ikpeazu? Who's upholding their election and why? Maybe because some people know those guys are going to do nothing but donate cars to NPF.

Just my thoughts

Well everyone has godfathers and its is even more visible and turgid in the east, where you must do what ur godfathe wants o you are a goner...like what happened bewtween ngige and uba...in which a sitting governor was kidnapped because he renegade on an agreement to loot the state....and to your question ..in the east its more of an intra-state issue....

Tompolo case is isolated for me. Tinubu was able achieve it because of the way he built his brand. He gave himself as that Godfather that presents the bestmen for the job and support the people he presents to the party.

Tinubu is from a town in Osun State called Irégbeji but he applied for asylum in Lagos state and he was granted a permanent resident.
