A nairalander gave a few reasons why he would'nt drop his blackberry phone, so i've decided to give a few reasons on why i won't drop my symbian platform. I'm actually expecting a lot of criticism for using a symbian phone in this era....
1.Long lasting battery : the battery power of my symbian phone takes me all through the day from listening to music to watching movies etc. With my 3G network on.

2.fast browsing with less data consumption : the browsing speed of my symbian phone is very fast, its highest point is 3.5g from Glo to Airtel i dont have problems with downloading and browsing and thanks to UCbrowser i download up to 9 files at once.

3. Light and very portable : my symbian phone is very light and portable, i could put it in my pocket and you wont know i have a phone on me.

4. No Permanent Internet Connection: Nokia symbian phone requires the Internet only for short period of time. Its not the case with other Operatin systems. Their functionality is dependent on permanent data connection and the traffic in term of data of symbian phones is very minimal.

5. cheap and easy access to some social networks accessing facebook, whatsapp, twitter etc. Is very cheap on my nokia symbian.

The list goes on and on, so i don't see any reason why i'll drop my symbian anytime soon
n/b: i have a Lumia to also help me survive in this era.
Which phone is that, model?

The only reason I can't drop my E73 even though I have an android is because of its studio quality voice recording function.... My friend who owns Samsung galaxy s3 always borrow my E73 just to record songs... It beats other symbians

Reading with my Nokia E72.
Re: . by Nobody: 8:06pm On Mar 06, 2016
Nokia's reign is over.. Using a symbian phone in 2016 is probably for calls, whatsapp and Operamini....

You cant play High Quality Videos or Movies...

You cant play Quality Games....

You cant Take Quality Pictures....

You application base is almost zero....

You cant enjoy fast and free file sharing apps like Xender, Flash share etc.. You are limited to only your Bluetooth... Sending a file of 15mb with Bluetooth can be a real pain....

You cant enjoy free internet apps like Psiphon Handler etc....

You cant run good picture editors with symbian phones....

Streaming with Symbian phones can be a real pain....

You cant enjoy any form of tweaks on your symbian apart from the normal Symantec antivirus hack... Tools like MTK engineering, BB IMEI generator, Mobile Uncle Tools, Freedom, Kingroot etc gives you a whole new level of development on Android...

Should i Continue??

u are right in some part and wrong in some part... have u snapped with nokia n8 or 808 before? whats the diff between king root and hacking a symbian? they both give u permission to get where u arent supposed to get. do u know there is simple server for symbian? and i guess u dont know there is an app that even allows even n95 to share files via wifi between a pc and itself. not sayin symbian is anywhere near android bit its not a total pushover too.

@Op, u are never alone.

Our #N97 32gb and #E72 still rock on d background for intensive surfing wt less data consumption and extensive battery usage. Well maintained and ever looking clean.

#Android rules
#Symbian rocks still

Kudos to you.

I've stopped using my Symbian phone, but I still keep it. Every few months, I charge it, turn it on, go online for a few hours and then turn it off for another few months.
