Ambode Has Just Sold Us To The Hausas In Mile 12 by samobaba(m): 12:52pm On Mar 06, 2016
With great pain in our heart, we felt rejected and trampled upon on this day 6th of March, 2016 when the rights and hope of the yoruba people residing in Maidan and Agiliti were jettisoned by the Governor of Lagos on his proposed visitation to mile 12, vis Agiliti and Maidan today. Having stood in the scorching sun for hours waiting for Ambode, we found out he has just been dissuaded from visiting the scene of the riot by the Hausa leaders in mile 12.
To this end we say
(1)We don't want mile 12 market any longer.
(2) No more Okada riders in Agiliti
(3) Mile 12 market should be relocated to its proposed site.
Failure on the side of Government to give us this will result in us fighting for our right in the best means known to us.

We regret the government of APC in Lagos state.

Let any sane minded person tell us if a responsible government will not visit the following site if he indeed cares about the people he governs

Seems Ambode doesn't want to incur the wrath of his masters by publicly sympathising with the Yorubas.

I say this on behalf of everybody that has ever lived in Ikorodu

If Ambode relocates mile 12 market, he'd become a hero and would automatically win for a second term in Ikorodu.

Any of you who had the privilege of a descent secondary school education will understand the "frog in water" theory.

The Frog in water theory stems from the lab experiments done in biological classes to show how cold blooded reptiles depend on their surroundings for warmth.

It basically involves two stages;

The first stage involves putting the frog in a beaker of hot water. Naturally the frog jumps out of the beaker due to the hot temperatures.

The second stage involves placing the frog in a beaker of cold water and slowly heating it up on a Bunsen burner. Remarkably the frog just sits there oblivious of what is going on. It will continue in this state of oblivion until it dies from the steaming water.

Now, when we apply this frog in water theory in our political landscape I see only parallels with the SW political class and general populace who never see beyond their noses.

It usually takes sweeping and drastic changes for the SW electorate to react just like the frog when placed in hot water but the SW is usually oblivious to slow and latent changes.

For how can we reconcile how the SW will suddenly again root for Buhari after 3 decades? The last time Buhari arrived on the political scene, he was supported heavily in the SW because at that time Shagari's govt was so vilified by the SW press that any "change" no matter how undemocratic or unconstitutional was welcomed.

Fast forward to present day and we can see how a well oiled propaganda machinery steered the SW voting block back to buhari.

They were made to believe that Buhari has since repented (this is the cold water stage) and can not act despotically in a democratic setting.

But since Buhari was sworn in he has never even bothered to tour the SW and show his gratitude for the enormous and crucial support they lent him. It is obvious that the SW press and media consultants were able to re-brand an old duara goat like Buhari to appear as a docile sheep.

Now that Buhari is slowly showing the SW that a despot at 40 is a despot for life they still cling stubbornly to the change rhetoric and Buhari's mythical puritan disposition.

The SW may never know they have entered one chance just like our frog sitting in the beaker of lukewarm water.

Since the Yoruba have refused to listen to commonsense or listen to history or even refused to look around and see the Hausa Fulani supremacy agenda unfolding in the middle belt and polity at large then should they resign themselves to eternal slavery AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the Yoruba should not drag us in the better south into their evil caliphate of slavery.

May God grant yoruba the slavery they wish for

what part of mile 12 did the Hausa mob comes from,I was very surprised they could touch maidan road,It's known to be a tougher place for intruders.

Back in the days, not even nepa or security personnel can intrude the maidan I know.

Iddo market in Lagos was relocated to mile 12 which was a small settlement with extensive land.

...so it not immune to development.

People from all walks of life lives there, agiliti is an extension of mile 12 like many other suburbs.

Mile 12 has large Hausa populations, even notable ones like ALH Seidu, alh isa and Alh mei-kudi.

....wo I tire o
