adeyemi2015:Our economy will only get worse if we cannot look inward. Innoson can of course come up with SUVs of range rover quality. For your information, the first set of automobiles made by range rover manufacturers decades ago don't look like the vehicles they make these days. if you don't start at all, you can't progress. It's high time Nigerian youths thought right. |

Kaduna state governor-elect, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, on Tuesday visited the once vibrant but now comatose Arewa Textile Nigeria Limited in Kaduna. Many of you just jump on the internet to hate, spew ignorance about what you know nothing about. This issue happens to be the first issue he attended to as the governor of Kaduna.. You are from Kaduna, but you still have zero clue about your governor and his activities. The man is doing his job and moving his state forward while you are sitting here lying and hating.. |

Good PLAN. But I look forward to that day and time soon when the government will not tell us their plans and we will just see the good projects they have completed. In advanced countries, roads, projects, etc are not commissioned until the citizens have tested the roads, developments for about a year or six months. Nigeria go better soon. This applies to companies too. Lets stop the PLAN to, WILL soon, INTEND to, PRAYING to... Lets act fast and develop our capacities for real progress. The time is now. |

fulanimafia:Have a stake is different from acquiring. Dangote has stake in Arsenal but he has not acquired Arsenal. Usmanov has 30% stake in Arsenal but he has not acquired Arsenal. Acquisition leads to ownership which leads to government control. They determine how the business is run. Abramovich owns Chelsea and he hires and fires... It does not matter whether the owner of the PAN franchise is a French or a Fulaniman, what matters is that government would buy over the control of the business. I see a money stealing/ wasting conduit ... |

agabaI23: Controlling InterestStop confusing yourself, you are a owner regardless your level of interest in any company, the fact that you bought some shares in that company makes you a owner and in the case of Kaduna state, we are talking about majority interest which gives the state government total control of the company, they get to make decisions, dictate directions and enact changes. Kaduna state government is in the driver seat. PERIOD. |

Nice move but look behind what you are being told can the state effectively run that in the face of a dwindling economy? who buys the finished products? would there be a need for public-private partnership? who and who owns the firms in the PPP Arangement? let someone or some people use state funds to acquire some properties for themselves. just took some miller drink, take this serious at ur own cost |

The kadua st govt. Shuld quickly put together a competent management team that should be able to cut costs ,reduce waste , and bring a technologically advanced way of manufacturing vehicles .if these vehicles can be sold at reasonable prices blv me PAN will regin its lost glory .the kaduna st govt shuld not involve ittself in the day to day running as this wil pave the way for graft ,miss management and other challenges that hv bogged govt owned enterprises in nigeria wish them all the best |

agabaI23:I did not buttress your point, I basically corrected you and you have no idea per how the government intends to participate in this company apart from the fact that they own major shares in the company. In the USA during the recession when the U.S. automakers went bankrupt and almost collapse, the US government bought them up with taxpayers money. The companies are back in business, stronger and making money. The government sold it's shares and made a lot of profit money on behalf of the US taxpayers. You have your no clue where the government of kaduna is going with this company so stop the needless assumptions and premature conclusions... |

Rubbish !!! Government has no business in private business Nigerian businesses should first learn how to make common spark by the millions for export, before wasting time assembling sub standard vehicles. UK government owns no shares in Rolls Royce |

The other day at the just concluded trade fair ,this same man said Kaduna government , Dangote along with some northern states were going to buy up the company. Today he is saying Kaduna state alone was going to buy majority stake in the company. This is inconsistent. Secondly,If the aim of the project was to reduce youth unemployment. What will be the resulting job figures to be generated as a result if increase in the production. What are the names and types of the other allied companies that would benefit from it within the metropolis. This is just another promise. Nigerians will always celebrate promises even when they have not seen any plan or feasibility studies on the ground. Wake me up when he presents a plan. This is an old trick as far as I am concerned. |

agabaI23:And how does that automatically translate into a change of management? Have you forgotten Dangote is also getting a stake in the company? You have absolutely no facts to suggest that the management of PAN would suffer if it's ownership structure is changed. If you do, state it. |

fulanimafia:You guys can defend anything APC even when you have doubts in your mind. If you show me one thing APC or Buhari you have openly disagreed with I will continue with this discussion otherwise, I thing it is a waste of my energy because you will never accept anything that does not praise your party. Having said that, I want you remember that a majority shareholder has the ace. Whatever he wants is done and in this case it is the state government and it is a state government in Nigeria.... Like I said in my first post, I am all for progress, I want this to succeed but I am skeptical. But I will very much like to be proved wrong.... |
