A guy asked when he will be paid his salary and all the boss could say is you must be stupid. Does the boss even think of how the guy feeds, transports himself everyday to the office? And probably he even has some financial responsibilities and his best way to respond is you must be stupid. I believe whatever the case may be he doesn't need to insult his employee. If i were the employee i wouldn't take such insults likely...
there is no doubt that we only have workers in Nigeria but employee we may not be familiar with such world. Employer who so cherish his workers' efforts need not be asked before paying their salary. it is a callous habit for workers not to have been paid even before months runs out. Let's know that they probably have extended families to take care of as we all know in Nigeria settings.

Maybe because wages are given as a privilege instead of a right in Nigeria. People should get paid every fortnight. BTW, I wonder how people manage to find jokes in a serious issue like this

But you will be surprised that the same Employer is buying new rides for himself, building houses for himself, sending his children to the best schools and living large.........yet he cant pay the poor workers who are doing the "hard labour"!

God is watching you, Mr Director! Even the Bible said "we should not deny a worker his wages".
It is a SIN in the sight of God!

Thus when some M.D's face calamity when they least expect it, they need to look back and ask for forgiveness...

You are a disgrace, if truly you are the Boss in question.
Is it by force to be an employer? If you are not making profit, why dont you close shop?

-Did you not employ the man?
-Was there not an agreement that he would do A,B,C... while you pay him X-Amount?
-If he did not fulfil his part of the employment contract, is owing him his pay part of the solution? Why not sack him?
-You talk about being ineffective..... is it not your silly self that did not define his job properly (since you dont even know how to do that!)

The fact that there are thousands of unemployed people out there, does that mean you have to take advantage of them and treat them like you are doing them a favour, for working for you (creating wealth for you while you live large!)

People like you should be locked up for abusing your employee! You are so foul-mouthed.
Pay the man first, sack him after, if you dont need his services any more,.... there are better and more rational employers out there.

I urge that Employee to make your Name and Company identity PUBLIC, if you continue to harass him when (and if) you return on Tuesday.

BTW: How are you sure you will even return from that your trip or are you God?
Or are you better than the Minister for Labour and Productivity who lost his life, that of his wife and first son, TODAY-TODAY?

Beside the insult he threw at the person, that is not he right way to ask for your salary... Has he been paying you before now ? If you asked for February, it shows the boss must have paid for January... Workers really need to know and understand how to approach salary and money issues in any organization... That statement is well constructed, workers ought to know when salaries are available for payment but the Nigerian mentality has pushed us to work for money and not for vision...
