It will be an understatement to say you don't know much about governance .It will rather be better said if we say that you need to free yourself of partisanship to see the great thing this ex-army general has done. You talked about many things but in order not to muddle things up, I will analyze them one after the other: 1. You mentioned padded budget. Kudos should be given to the national assembly that discovered this crime and kudos should be given to the president that penalized the DG Budgeting and his subordinates who perpetrate this great crime. Ministers came just 3 weeks to submission of budgets, they knew little or nothing on this, however, the teams that Jonathan and his cronies had trained were still the ones that prepared this budget. They padded in their usual way, but the change mantra exposed this and we are now on the sane path. 2. Opposition. Your view on opposition is faulty. PMB has never congratulated any winner of any election including his party member in Kogi and other places . Why should he congratulate any winner of any election? It is not a bad concept but it does not make him a sinner either. Government agencies under PMB have only arrested suspected criminals but if you know any innocents person please mention such: Badeh, Olisah Metuh, Dasuki, etc. They are the yam eaters. So, do you want Buhari to continue the impunity of Jonathan? 3. Not ready for leadership. This statement is relative. Buhari has done well by giving us benefit of doubt. When he entered, he did not fire the Service Chiefs immediately. He waited for a while to see if he could work with them. He gave them a long rope, unfortunately they were not meant for such plan. They were corrupt and bunch of thieves . He fired them after about 4 months. Head of MDAs too, he allowed them for about 8 months until we all saw that they were out to sabotage his plans from padding the budgets to nonchalance, etc. 4. Failed Promises: Buhari has not failed any of his own personal promises to Nigeria. Go and check all his campaign promises. He promised 3 things: a. Security b. Fight against Corruption c. Economy Development. He has done well on security. He has done well on corruption and he has a good plan on the economy. His first budget is still awaiting approval, therefore we can't really say he has not done well. We have to be patient to enjoy this great man. God bless Nigeria. |

WAILER WHY NOT GIVE HIM AT LEAST A YEAR BEFORE YOU CRY YOUR SELF TO DEATH. THOSE CIVIL SERVANTS THAT PADDED THE BUDGET ARE THEY NOT THE PRODUCTS OF THE LAST ADMIN. IF IT'S ONLY CORRUPTION HE'S ABLE TO CHECKED HE WOULD HAVE SUCCEEDED. |

Buhari has all it takes to change Nigeria; he is not greedy and he isn't weak, but he must avoid ethnic and religious politics. |

maoolakanm:well... I have also discovered that even APC members & die hard Buharists have also joined the Wailers (if you doubt me ask Dele Momudu). We should give him at least one year, by then most Nigerians would have died of hunger. We should give him at least one year... So that dollar would be 5000naira for 1doller. If you say civil servants added those money in our budget: why didnt the ministers who aresaints supervise it? Does Buhari have a team? If he has, why didnt they read through those documents to save us from this natural emberacment. All of you should borrow a leaf from Dele Momudu and stop redirecting blames to others. You guys who claimto love Buhari should tell him the BULK STOPS ON HIS TABLE. Tell him to sit at home and get involved in agriculture instead of going about begging for money |

maoolakanm:So the narrative has changed to civil servants padding the budgets? You people are really zombies. The same budget you and your likes were hailing on this same forum before we burst the bubbles by exposing the monumental fraud embedded therein. Buhari is a criminal. He is incompetent and should honorably resign. Leadership in this 21st century is not his forte. He should go back to Daura and tend to his cows. |

With this lukewarm govt of Buhari, is Nigeria doomed for another 8 years? |
| Re: Buhari’s Many Failed Promises - Vangaurd by grandstar(m): 10:00pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
Obiodunukwe:Ignorance can be destructive. Buhari's foreign exchange restrictions will be his nemesis. As Sanusi said, they have not worked anywhere. It took 16years for the naira to loose a N130 in value going from 90 in 1999 to 220 in 2015. Its taken Buhari less than a year to plunge it from 210 when he took over to almost 400, a fall of 190 . At 320 today, that a 110 naira difference from when he entered. The naira will fall to 500 if this expansionary budget is passed. Expansionary budgets always lead to currency depreciations. I am sure Buhari does not know that but yet he has commandeered the CBN. Bill Clinton said that the economy trumps everything. As the naira falls, and the economy with it, so will his popularity. Early next year at the earliest, his party will consider him a liability. Already, the senate has chosen to drop the 500billion welfare spending. This is a big mighty slap to his face. He is a very honest and passionate man but his economics sucks |

Yksoul:Dude, go drum it into his head, Buhari that Nigeria has past that stage of trials and errors and unnecessary foot dragging. We want results and nothing but results, and only exceptional leadership will do, not old recyled excuses as in the time of PDP and what have you. |

Mackson01:1. What is TSA? How does it work and does it improve the quality of life of Nigerians? 2. What do you understand by diversification of the economy? How is Buhari diversifying the economy? What policies and programs has he put in place to diversify our economy? Please, I need intelligent and well articulated answers and not some pedestrian mumbo jumbo... Obviously it looks like you just regurgitated some propaganda bullshyte you hear everyday from daft APC supporters. |
| Re: Buhari’s Many Failed Promises - Vangaurd by omohayek: 10:12pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
grandstar:The even bigger problem with Buhari is that he lacks sufficient awareness to even know that he doesn't know enough about the subject. That's why he can brush aside the advice of so many better-qualified people without stopping to ask himself if there might be more to what they are saying. No leader can reasonably expect to know better than everyone who serves under him; part of effective leadership is precisely knowing when to delegate to people with greater specialist knowledge of particular topics. Buhari has chosen to take exactly the opposite course, by openly micromanaging a CBN which is nominally supposed to be independent! Nigeria's tragedy is that it has waited so long to be led by an honest man, but this man turns out to be so stubborn and convinced of the correctness of his opinions that he is set to demonstrate to Nigerians how incompetence can actually be worse than corruption. |

May the woman that gave birth to you be blessed all the days of her life. May the man that is her husband be blessed too. Your comment shows you are educated, "all-rounder" unlike many on here who have been blinded by so many things to even reason well. I'm not partisan....I haven't even voted before. But I always like to be objective when analysing these politicians. It's like you took these words out of my hand and typed 'em. Gracias veraponpo: |

Hmmm, this PMB govt is truly opening my eyes to many things. Have you observed all those former office holders that were talking anyhow even at the slightest national issue have carefully dared not to utter a word since Buhari got into power. Those writing letters have stopped, those twitting have stopped, those arranging crusade have stopped, those preaching anyhow in churches and mosque have stopped. Those abusing president in the open have stopped. Soldiers disobeying commanders have stopped. Even traditional rulers making unguarded comments have stopped. Wow, how interesting indeed , is it the share fear of PMB or EFCC or perhaps these chaps have their hands soiled in the first place so in order not yo incur the wrath of PMB they rather keep shut and die in silence. or is it that these guys saw a harmless civilian president thereby capitalized on it to do what they did. Some have just not uttered a word even in the midst of all the economic quagmire. This country is a real case study, one needs to be extremely careful in this Nigeria, it is indeed not what people think it is. Some people erroneously think they own it, they believe Nigeria is their business entity they can call the shots but I have just learnt something. |

Obiodunukwe:Your first sentence shows that your true intention was to degrade this message to that of tribalism. Anyway,I hope you are aware that PMB needs more than your vote alone to win a second term. He would need to first convince, the opposition and the skeptics. |
