Someone close to me feeds his dog with milk and other kinds of assorted meals an average struggling person can't afford.

Now the man's status doesn't really matter but it's just inhuman to treat a boy like this.

Whatever happened to compassion and humanity. This boy is supposed to serve you and the least you can do is make him happy. Doesn't even stop at what you feed him with.

I don't see anything bad in taking your domestic helper along with your family on outings and events.

Take them along when you go shopping and get them gifts as well.

Such gestures will go a long way to shape his mindset and also be kind to someone else in future.

A good deed always multiplies in many folds to affect the lives of others you never even expected.

And for being evil, oh well...

I always tell people my house help wherever he or she comes from will never be able to be distinguished from my family members..... I was brought up n a house where chores where shared equally among our house helps and us the biological kids and every outting included everybody in the house regardless of who you are.... If I don't follow those foot steps, I am not a child of my parents...

A single mother wit 3 children, 2 daughters who school abroad and a son who's a slowpoke.
And once in a while i and my sis clean her home wen we pay her a visit and the home is dirty

I paid her a visit weeks back and sat on her settee(sofa), and the son snaped me, we have a settee in our house, my elder brother also skulls abroad and some within the country, I don't knw wat the lady took me as, well because the picture i took seating on her sofa was fyn i used it as my watsapp dp.

To my greatest surprise i received a message on watsapp and decided 2 check who it was.

The number she used was a different one and the message reads: Is dis the settee i waited 10 years to buy....i don suffer, so i had 2 tell my siblings and my mum 2 and every body was in shock, wen she was contacted, she started saying all sort and i decided 2 block her on watsapp and her kids on my facebook account.

So u can imagine a common leather settee dat wasn't even in a gud shape and some one can be dat heartless and senseless so am nt surprise at dis one cos people can be very wicked.

I remember our neighbours in secondary school days.
Their dad was a senior civil servant. He worked in another state and visited every 2 weeks. A very kind man.

The man's wife would hardly give her step-sons food but gave her own young kids the best food.

She would lock away soup in the cupboard and give her daughter the key.

Sometimes, his step kids would steal the key and quickly take some soup.

Not knowing there was another soup in a place known to her biological kids only.

When she returns and finds soup below the MARKED level in the pot, she would punish the step sons.

The boys always wondered how she knows they have taken even if the smallest amount of soup.

Until she revealed one day that she puts a lump of kpokpo garri on top the soup. When the soup surface is disturbed, the lump will sink.
The boys didn't tell their dad because they thought he would never believe that his lovely wife could do such.

We used to cook and give the boys.

God so kind, the boys were all "A" grade students, acing their exams anyhow. I have no doubt they are successful men today. They might even be the ones looking after their pampered half-siblings now.

This is the required treatment that will propel the boy to become man
if not he might become very comfortable in a fellow man's exploits.
Poverty is not the enemy but to be mentally poor and wallow in the black water of poverty is the enemy.
Many successful people owe their success to extreme poverty

Most probably he will eat in the kitchen. That table his meal is on looks likes Formica or so usually seen as tabletops in kitchens.
Talking of rooms, if his room is dirty, that's entirely his fault. A room doesn't have to have state of the art facilities before its cleaned and well arranged.

Women naturally are wicked creatures, you can never get anything free from them. Even staying with your inlaw and his sister siblings are living with you is a hell fire for you. They will make sure you are so uncomfortable that you wish leaving the house.

I don't think I know how to put it, I have often felt it and have never had the generosity of expression to drape that feeling in more depictive words.......so forgive me if I seem vague.

There's a certain inability for women to show kindness to the offspring of another ----even the child of a sibling ---- in a selfless and unbiased manner. There are exceptions, of course, but the number isn't large enough to discredit the well earned stereotype.

There's just this domestic maltreatment of wards by women that has become trite since humanity.

Thank you. This is the kind of food I ate for three weeks at NYSC camp...so I don't see any big deal here.

Some wicked souls spend not less than #40, 000 a month on their dog and pay the security man that look after the #15000.

I experienced worse brutality growing up as a kid. I lived with different relatives. I have no words to express the terror i went through but I really thank God for seeing me through it all.

I don't blame anyone treating people's kids like this. Its the 2 people who came together, had a kid and couldn't leave up to their responsibility. Why would anyone bring a child into this world without any plans in place for such children? This is what you get when you live your children at the mercy of strangers. They do whatever they like, they treat the child the way the want.

I feel sorry for the boy. And I hope he comes out tough and successful. But his folks are to blame IMHO
