Agreed its just an accident but a family has been deprived of a loved one due to the reckless driving of an individual. It is the duty of the government to ensure that justice is served for the victims family. This is the rule in all countries that value life. It is high time people are held responsible for their actions so that our society can gradually trace her path to doing the right thing. If people know that prosecution awaits them when they commit a crime involving road use then a great majority will apply some sense of caution when they drive. Unfortunately in this case it is Ibinabo..

This country is a joke. Since 2005, we are still here dragging this type of case left and right after 11 years.

No wonder politicians always escape justice in this country after stealing the nation dry.

That option of fine is ridiculous. I could carry out an actual hit with my car and then escape incarceration by paying 100k. Nope. Prison is good for her. She should just let it go and do the time. I guess she was trying to drown away her sorrow at the awards party. Sorry dear

Why won't Judge uphold the judgment when she was seen misbehaving at AMVCA. She didn't feel remorseful.

It's just an accident where she killed a doctor, a son, a husband, a father to a family. A bread winner. Abeg abeg no talk that kind thing again. God forbid say ur family member dey involved, you go open your mouth say it's just an accident? Look beyond the fact that she's an actress. The more reason she should comport herself well as a role model to the society obeying speed limits and driving in a sane state without alcohol in the system

I think she should have slowed down on her big woman life and show of opulence. A man, medical Doctor, with a great future and father was killed for God's sake.

She should have acted more sober all the while. The sentence is quite minimal when I consider the loss of life associated with it.

Very unfortunate I really felt for her a lot but the sentence could have be reduced little to maybe 2 and half years full term I did not say this because she is a celebrity not at all as a matter of fact I don't even know her but the accident might not be her total fault or possibly some wrong signal or red light bleep up somewhere I guess.

Sorry lady really sorry I can understand how you felt. In Nigeria I trusted no judgement as such simply because horrible things are happening behind the curtain as I always said if you don't belong to the *clan* or refused anything from the *clan* you may be in soup for a minor offense my word may sound funny but that is where I belong I knew how the game is being played all the time day and night 365 days a year.

Don't know what to say in as much I don't support recklessness driving and killing but this lady might be a victim I bet it.

Sir do not quote me out of context. The guy I responded to said 100k can't bring back the dead thus leading to my question whether the long jail term would.

I quite agree that one of the reasons for the judgment is to serve as a deterrence to other would be killers on the road.
