An explosion rocked Tapa street on Lagos Island Friday, destroying residential buildings in the resultant fire. Buildings affected included Andy Craft vocational centre and a customary court. At least 15 vehicles were completely razed in the inferno that was still being battled by the Lagos State Fire Service at about 8pm. The fire was caused by a tanker loaded with 33,000 litres fuel. Tragedy struck after the tanker veered off its lane and rammed into Tapa street, with a deafening sound, spilling its content on the ground. at about 6pm in the evening, see photos below.

I don't know why all these bad things should be happening to Nigerians. Someone works hard for years only for a single disaster to bring the person back to square one. My heart goes out to all that lost one thing or the other and if it will touch the government let them institute a proactive and responsive emergency unit

I can bet you that
1. The driver may have died and doesn't have a life insurance.
2. The truck and the products are not insured hence the loss will be too much to bear.
3. The truck may not be road worthy and the driver may not be well trained to lift highly inflammable fluid.
4 the agencies responsible for safety and security just collect bribes and the rot continues

After we all get superstitious and start asking God why all this is happening as if God caused Nigerians to be dumb not following safety precautions.

Sad development

This is not a party matter. it is all about individual character. When we do not care for others when you carry out your biz activities. Let me tell you, it has gone to a stage that when you are doing the right things, people will look at you as a fool.
