I used to fight people for saying this but with recent events happening in Nigeria and some parts of Africa, I am beginning to rethink this.

I don't think that they are entirely useless.After seeing the video and pictures they took,many will be able to agitate for the government to make the neccessary reform in order to prevent such calamities from happenning in the future.My opinion.

Mrs Koumate Monique was a cameroonian woman pregnant of twins. O

She died at the gates of one of the main public hospitals of the city Douala (Hopital la Quintinie). However the babies in her womb were still alive. The niece of the deceased demanded that at least the lives of the babies be saved by immediate medical intervention, and she would pay for the intervention later on, but all to no avail.

This poor niece, alone with the deceased aunt and the babies moving in the womb, felt she was obliged to operate her aunt herself. She bought a blade in a shop close by, and in the midst of an amazed crowd cut the womb of the dead woman, in an attempt to save the babies.

One of the twins came out dead. The other was still breathing but some minutes later on died.

In recent weeks/months, there has been a huge number of people dying at the gates of cameroonian public hospitals, because they did not have the money to be taken care of.

Which Government? Hundreds of videos like this that have surfaced on the Internet, has the government done anything about It? The ALUU4 lynching case that went viral, has the government done anything to bring justice? That's how the case just fizzled out. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wait, so this people cannot rally around quickly and contribute so money for her to be attended to in the hospital? I think Nigerians are better than some of these people interns of humanitarian assistance. See the Air Condition and the beautiful hospital, yet no sympathetic doctor or patient could stand for this woman to have her baby. Now she is dead, maybe the government will pay for her corpse to be taken or if she begins to decay there in the hospital, then the management could pay mortuary service to take the corpse. Mteeew
