Osinbajo’s Trip To India Not Cancelled - Presidency by OKDnigeria: 9:02pm On Mar 13, 2016
ABUJA – The Presidency has refuted some media reports that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s trip to India tomorrow had been cancelled following the journey of President Mohammadu Buhari’s to Equatorial Guinea.

The Vice President is billed for Indian/African summit.

Some online media had reported that the Vice President cancelled his trip to avoid the Senate President, Bukola Saraki from taking the mantle of leadership as Acting President in the absence of the president and his vice.

The report added that the protocol officers made a blunder by scheduling the two trips to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea for the President and India for India at the same time.

But in realizing that Saraki would assume office as the number three citizen in the hierarchy of government, the Vice President cancelled his trip.

But reacting to the development on Sunday, the presidency through the media aide to the Vice President, Mr. Laolu Akande said the report holds no water.

He said that the minister of industry, trade and investment, Mr. Okey Enalemah would be leading a delegation of Nigerians to the Summit.

“Nigeria has been invited to the Indian/African summit and the minister of industry, trade and investment will be leading a delegation to the event.

“There is nothing like cancellation. Remember that the visit of the Vice President to any country is not treated in secrecy.

“Whenever the Vice President is to travel out of the country, we inform Nigerians.

“So, this story in question is a bunch of speculation. There is no cancellation”, he said.

What can APC do right? They cannot pass a budget, they cannot remind Buhari of when he is to attend UN General Assembly so the Pope does not lock him out. Now they cannot even get Osinbanjo to successfully go to India. What type of bumbing buffoons are these?
Now so much money wasted.
Confused government.

I wouldn't disbelieve the initial report about the cancellation. In recent times,it's been obvious how this government specialize in denying whatever it says first.

Delegated to a minister. It was the next logical thing to do to save the backlash after $250,000 has been advanced. The lucky minister will sure enjoy some VP VIP treatment in India.

Osinbade should be thanking or probably cursing the desert reporters by now.

This government is "reactive" in nature. Always waiting to see the response of Nigerians or the opposition before making the next move.

It beats my imagination how some people could hate their country so much that they wish the country collapses just to malign the government.

So they are still saying that the vice president is not going again. What is the denial about.

They Realise that the president wont be around, and the protocol officer made a mistake in schedulling the vice president on the engagement. If their is no realisation of the Senate President acting in their absence, then, their wont be any alteration in the schedulling by replacing the head of the team from Vice President to Okey Enelama.

This seem to comfirm that in every lai, their is a lie.

I wrote yesterday that a rising problem in Nigeria are bloggers. We need to limit their trashy information. When you have hungry, unprofessional individuals distributing information to the public and educated people digest without reasoning then we have a big situation.

The headlines online now na die. Only to attract people to their page. Why? Because they will make money dragging crowd to their website or pages (by advertisement etc.).

This is a call to stop lazy journalism from gaining wealth from trash.
