Why Fuel Scarcity May Persist —NUPENG by emamos: 11:06pm On Mar 15, 2016
The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has said that the ongoing fuel scarcity in the country may persist until the Federal Government takes effective action on petroleum products availability.
The declaration comes even as independent oil marketers and other private petroleum products operators insist that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is running a monopolistic system.
President of NUPENG, Comrade Igwe Achese, told Vanguard, “Clearly from the perspective of our own study, in as much we are concerned with the current situation we find ourselves, scarcity will continue. However, like we rightly said, if Federal Government is having a political will to address these issues, definitely, we will get out of this quagmire. For now, I’m sure we will still continue to find ourselves in where we are.
“NNPC, through its Products and Pipeline Marketing Company, PPMC, subsidiary is trying everything possible to see that this scarcity issue is resolved, but it also requires the commitment of all stakeholders.”
Regarding the loading of products at the depots of PPMC and other marketers, he argued that, “It is not an issue of Capital Oil, or Mosimi, it is an issue of the process. We need to change our approach, we need to change our structure in terms of the way and manner we carry out these operations.”

And the tussle for supremacy continues. No group wants to lose relevance, all to the detriment of Nigerians. So much for change!

it's a pity that people like.you fail to realize.what is happening in Nigeria. Is it the wish of Buhari that we masses should keep suffering to buy fuel? But one thing is certainly sure, God is watching over all those trying to sabotage this government by releasing suffering on the masses. If we Nigerians are ready to speak with one voice, then this set of people will be afraid to play with our life............. but how will this people be afraid of us with the likes of people like you.

The bragged that governance wasn't rocket science... But since they came onboard every sector has gone from bad to worst. Even other African countries that are not producing crude are not passing through this embarrassment right now.

God help this nation.

Buhari the daydreamer.

He was grossly and massively deceived with the rebranding and over hyping he got from his supporters.

He grossly believed everyone would fall at his feet to worship him and follow his orders. In fact, some of his followers till date expect his 'body language' to fix all the loopholes in Nigeria.

The slang 'sai baba' emanated from the same uphoria as many believed Buhari is the magician that will command respect from NUPENG, NNPC, Civil Organizations, just to mention a few.

The masses are responsible for the current state of the nation. The expectations were toooo high and that's why someone in Lagos could comfortably print mega promises on Large format banners about someone he has never met.

This post is a typical example of my comments.

So because it is Buhari, everyone should shiver and bow to whatever he says?

Assuming I'm running a legal business where my family and I feed on, you think I'll stop business because a purported sheriff is in town?

Body language cannot do the magic, threats won't either. But if someone could be wise enough to engage me in a roundtable discourse while creating another alternative, I just might change my mind and consider another.

But if we all sit behind our keyboard expecting us all to be scared of our legal means of survival, the masses will suffer for a very long time.

Some of you who always expect people to lose their businesses because of fuel would never allow the government demolish your house for road construction.

We want them to bow for sai baba, but we can't surrender our buildings for road expansion for the masses without compensation. He he

This government looks clueless on the issue of fuel scarcity. Before you know it, they will come and tell tell us that its the hand work of saboteurs, and that its a result of corruption that is fighting back.
Mr Kachikwu, like his colleague in Works,Power & Housing, had better embark on a national tour to know what the problem really is, because if the problem is really known, solving it wouldn't take forever like we are experiencing.

Keep crying, when it comes to Buhari, you guys will invoke every reason to excuse him.

Even Buhari himself will be ashamed by your comments

And please stop using HIS name in vain!
