I think you should go back to your dentist ASAP!

You may have some form of infection of the gums which may even involve the underlying bones (jaw bones) and that would be serious.

You resorted to self medication. Wrong.
You better get back to the dentist before the neighboring tooth to the removed one will need to be removed too!

Hehehehe, No painkillers will can stop the EXTREME pain of a possibly infected and neglected tooth.
If you dont agree with your Dentist's advice for an extraction, you may cause irreparable damage to other teeth and jaw structures.

Are there no other better alternative like maybe filling. Cos I don't subscribe to extraction and the root carnal stuff. I once extracted too and now the other tooth is beginning to ache as well, and the dentist is suggesting another extraction or root carnal treatment, wen I rmber the pain I went thru d last time I'm not sure I wanna extract my tooth eva again.

And after a month I went bk to complain dt d pain is seldom and dt it is still swollen. Unfortunately that night I mistakenly bite on a piece of bone while chewing. And since den d swelling and pain has rapidly increased.

I have started to use diclofenac and cac-1000. But as I type ds am in serious pain I can't sleep.

I need ur help on our to reduce d pain n d swollen part ?

hope you're on antibiotics? If not, better buy a strong antibiotics and take.

OP, Pele o, toothache is a b1tch, like someone said Cataflam helps, I know it did me, when I had a very bad episode of toothache.

It was prescribed by a physician though, you should probably see your dentist first.

this is why i refused to remove my tooth because of the complications that follow. the pain associated with the removal is worse than the initial pain. why not try lincocyn upjon 500mg that is what i use when the pain and swelling becomes too much. i also add maxinal. There is this chemist around

Reason my wife refused to remove her tooth after she removing the first one years ago.

But the thing can pain shaa.

In pain hierarchy, after childbirth pain comes tooth pain.

like the saying goes: experience is the best teacher!!!! tooth extraction is for the naive!!!! but if the deed is already done, then u should not go back there again.. u committed 2 offenses. charge 1: removing your teeth. charge two: chewing hard things!!!! now, soln: avoid chewing any thing hard, drink no hot or cold water and strictly keep your tooth always clean especially in the night before going to bed. endeavour to use anti biotics. if u can observe all these, then say bye-bye to tooth ache..advice others and thank me later..

Na wetin long throat dey cause. You extract tooth com still dey chop bone, na fish or de-bone meat u suppose dey chop as ur teeth no strng.

a month is too much for the pain to persist even after withdrawal of pain medications.. i think you should seek a second opinion.. mine took 4days for everything to resolve.. sha it may depend on the extend of the tooth damage, if it affected the mandibular bone or not, or an abscess has formed due to breach of aseptic protocol of failure to use antibiotics.. ask for a honest review or try a second opinion. before it gets work.. kpele.. ndo..

This is why I always advice people to drink stream water, it contains all the essential minerals and vitamins needed for strong teeth and bones.

Thats why our people in the village live till their 70s and dont remove their teeth, but people in town and their reverse osmosis water loose all their teeth before they reach 30.

I think the dentist did a bad job, get ready to loose more teeth. grin

Water is supposed to contain minerals in it, and not be plain like the bottled and sachet ones we drink. this is the reason we all loose some teeth at some point intime. angry

So sorry about your ordeal, my wife had similar issue but i did not allow her go for extraction as the excruciating pain was so severe but someone gave me this number to call and i did then met with the man around ojodu berger area and he gave me brown liquid substance for #500 after i must have spent thousands on her teeth issue, then my wife used the "brown liquid substance to gaggle her teeth and threw away 20 mins each for 3 time, my wife who could not eat for 2days was fine even till now. alternative to tooth extraction, if the hole is not deep enough u can try a temporary refill and if it helps, u do a permanent one.. try it early before its late. and tooth extraction isn't that though if a seasoned dentist does it, used to have that erroneous believe. u should know that swallowing analgesic anyhow have their implications. from ulcers to possible kidney damages.. you'll should learn to take drugs ONLY when its needed.. stay healthy

U are suffering from hocus-pocus type of dental infection that will go with 6 weeks. Why say na bone you go chop first. Doctors no dey like patients like you o. Carry your teeth go back to Dentist as repeat job.

I thank God o, Alhamdulillah.
I removed one in 2010 after getting extremely rotten, and I got relieved after the removal.
no pains at all whatsoever.

Sorry for the pains, I have been through that before.Oga please go back and see a dentist in a reaching hospital, they should do an xray ie possible just to be sure that bits of tooth are not remaining in there. The biting of the bone may not be real the issue. Please try and see another dentist.

I am sorry to hear about your pain.......I strongly know how u are feeling at the moment....I will not go into details about my own so I will not bore you...

You should have mentioned the part that was disturbing u..... my guess will be the wisdom tooth, but If am correct, then I am afraid it has been infected hence the pains and the inflammation....

In my own case, what that beautiful dentist did was first sympathize with me, 2 carried out and X-ray to find out the disturbing part of the teeth and explain it to me....on the choice I should make and the price.(which was either refill the holes or u take out) in my own case I wanted to take out with all my heart....But due to the fact I was experiencing much pains she told me that she will norm the pains before taking it out but if I continue to feel pains, she's afraid she will not take it out that day....to avoid long excruciating pains..... I will have to come in three days

To cut the long story short, It was removed that day after that injection and she did a perfect stitches over there...
and she advised that I stay away from chilly food, meat and beer for a week to avoid reinfection while the wound heal.... and prescribed ....AMOXYCILLIN SANDOX 500mg with a strong Panadol. I have forgotten what that one was called......and a week check up

i was in ur shoe b4, i'm very sure u went to private hospital to remove d teeth, d only solution dey have 4 tooth problem is to remove d teeth, while d real problem is GUM infection,
SOLUTION; pls go to General Hospital, dey will give u drug dat will solve ur problem completly.

MY GUY I FEEL UR PAIN....take heart and pray about it...toothy pain is a devilish tin. i hav removed 3 of my teeth. try to eat much of garlic and stay away from very sweet foods, pls stop all dos pain killers dey are very harmful to our health....brush morning and night before sleeping( i recommend you get sensodyn tooth paste =500-700). now as for that pain, it will stop by God's grace. just stop thinking about it and try making ur self happy even cus i know u cant b happy now cus of dat pain. wen mine was at it peak some weeks ago, i felt like commitin suicide but MY GUY IT DOESNT WORTH UR LIFE SO BELIEVE YOU CAN B HAPPY AND FR3 FROM TOOTH WAHALA SOMDAY. get ALUM, desolve in warm or hot water, take a mouth-full but dont swallow, hold for 20seconds and pour out. do same 3-4times morning and night and d pain will disappear. REMEMBER "STOP THINKING ABOUT THE PAIN/TOOTH"
