Jonathan spent more because he invested more and commissioned more projects in Nigeria than Obasanjo.

Government doesn't exist to save money for you, but to spend for economic expansion.
Jonathan did exactly that.
Between OBJ and GEJ regimes, we witnessed the greatest expansion of the Nigerian middle class perhaps since Independence.
Our economy, after decades of military devastation, began to see year after year of double digit economic growth.
That doesn't come cheap, especially in non- diversified economy.

Lastly, the state governors, led by non other than Rotimi Amaechi as well as the head of the opposition, Bola Tinubu, kicked against and even sued GEJ administration to prevent him from using the excess crude oil funds to save reserves for the anticipated rainy day, such as today.

Still, Tinubu , Amaechi and his party are blaming GEJ for not saving.

Hypocrisy.

You people just lap Propaganda. Which middle class growth? We are talking of a man fleecing applicants and the man (Abba Moro) maintained his position.

If things were so jolly under GEJ, will people match into a slaughter house in the name of looking for jobs?

How much work did he do that he could not save a billion dollars.

We are tire of all these propaganda, what is really fighting the Economy is lack of direction, economic blueprint and road map, cause the present anti- corruption war is making life uneasy for corrupt officials, especially, the ones not in the ruling party, they are all looking for where to hide at the moment.
But it is instructive to note that the perceived inaction and cluelessness of the government is more detrimental than corruption at this stage.w

I do not defend corruption or corruption actions of people in government. But let's be sincere with ourselves in addressing and dealing with corruption in our society.

Which is very very bad for the tree (Nigeria) and also, the economy (egg) is very small, I wonder if there is a snake up there that has been swallowing the egg before the tree cutter noticed it, again the bird (EFCC) is like a humming bird singing a beautiful song for the tree cutter (corruption)and he is enjoying what he's doing which is (cutting the tree)

So my observation here is, its either the bird left its job of stopping the tree cutter which he should have done by going for his eyes and not the axe.

MY ADVICE
The bird should be changed to a bigger bird like an eagle because its too small for the task and it can't stop the tree cutter.

My interpretation of this goes thus::

Corruption trying to destroy Nigeria.. Efcc trying to kill off corruption by making it harmless.. What we are not sure of is which one will get destroyed first..

For the optimists :: the efcc(woodpecker) is efficient enough tol bring down corruption before it can crumble Nigeria..

For the pessimists:: corruption (the man with d axe) brings down d Nigerian economy before efcc has any effect on it..

Let be sincere, the Oil boom at $120/140 under GEJ is the highest in history of oil industry. Every government is corrupt. Imagine the corrupt OBJ, pay $12 billion debt, $45 billion in reserved and another $21 billion in joint account. Algeria today save $155 billion from the Oil boom compare to Nigeria $30 billion under GEJ.

was thr any state govt in nigeria recieving allocation from federal govt during gej's tenure?
abi federal govt spent all the monies accrued from oil sales n taxes alone?
faac sharing formula even till today is 52 percent to fed govt n state n lgs share d remaining 48 percent. what it means is that d allocation vaŕies n it isnt static or fixed.
federal govt have so many on its payroll, the whole armed forces, police, immigration, customs, fire service, civil defense, fed civil servants, judiciary cos till now they r still under executive pocket, medical doctors. boko haram insurgency intensified during his tenure, I knw u will say the money was looted, yes in every country that goes to war, they can never account for monies spent on war. abi how much did nigerian govt spent on 1967 to 1970 civil war?

They would have put squirrel in place of that wood pecker now or slug, cause they are supposed to represent 'Corruption Fighter' with a very slow animal like IGBIN (snail), which will eventually make corruption fall the economy before the rescue!
