Shortening

Melt marshmallows in the microwave fo 1 min and add in sugar gradually and stir

Once mixture is stiff transfer to worktop and knead

Anything that contains sugar is not healthy, but as long as you don't eat too much of it then you are fine. Too much of anything is bad for you.

I've got this one, it is called the Victorian sponge recipe.

Ingredients
250g flour
250g sugar
250g butter
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

Thanks for sharing. I'm curious though, does this kind of fondant hold up well in our Nigerian climate compared to the type in which gelatin and cmc are used?

Thanks for you lovely comments. I used to use the gelatin base fondant until I discovered this one with marshmallows. This holds better and I'm talking from experience, not hear say.

With regards to cost, is this cheaper? I have never used nor bought marshmallows before so i have no idea how much its sold.

Also does marshmallow fondant keep well for a long period?

I would suggest you go and check the price first, you can get marshmallows in shop rite. but I don't know how much they are.

Marshmallow fondant,keeps well for long as long as you store in an airtight container.
