Sometimes @ the OP there are things you just cannot do yourself.

This is one.

If you have ever applied for a C of O then you would know, that these guys will give you the run around if you are not ready to play games with them, and bless their palms.

There are a Million suggestions one can give, but you asked for an advice on how to GET IT YOURSELF.

Go to the ogun state bureau of land and survey block c at new secretariat okemosan abeokut. You willl be given forms to fill, the documents you should submit and the processing fees to be paid

I applied for mine thru d Ogun state homeownership scheme where land and home owners in Ogun state were being given d opportunity of getting their c of o and building approval in one package @ a discounted rate of 75%, and without much delay in processing as all bottlenecks. Where removed to allow faster processing.
I had to pay just =N=85,000 for my c of o and building approval in ota Ogun state, some people av started collecting their c of o, Google their site (Ogun state home ownership scheme) to see if there is an extension to sale of forms

What's the need of getting a C of O when you will you only end up continuing the defacing of the atmosphere with brown roofs

The government needs to do something about this.

If you have a building already on ground some years back you go through the Home Ownership Chatter scheme mentioned above. That's very easy and cheap.

If otherwise, as in you have a land. First of,all you have to determine if the land is under acquisition or not. You can know this by asking them at Land Registratry in Abeokuta with your survey. If it is acquisition, you pay ratification fee to start the c of o processing. You pay certain fees to the bank and it will get to a stage when they come for physical inspection of the land.

It can be tedious and time consuming especially for a first timer. So, it is advisable to go through an agent such as a lawyer, etc.

Go to Ogun GIS Homeowners Charter and apply. The office is at Block D, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

U can come to block d Oke Mosan Abk. We av direct c of o n ratification processes. Tru gvt acquired land wch is ratifcation u can get c of o. While d private land also gets c of o. Bfre u buy any land first of all chart it by picking a Survyor to help u chart it if its free land or acquisition. After charttg u will kW if u will pick a form fr ratification processes or direct c of o. U will apply with copies of 4 passport, survey plan,stamp duties if u av any, attached evryth den u will be called fr inspection. Direct c of u will get surrender form separate n also c of o from wch involves separate inspections. call me on 08161375559 to explain better. In addition d survey plan fr ratification is provisional copy, while direct c of is certified tru copy. Am actually in ratification department. D ratification assessment is more dan direct c of o

For d home owners d form actually close in April 2014. Some are yet to be inspected while d inspected ones av gtn their assemment letters. If u av not collected urs let me kW.
