EPISODE 1
I was born like every other kid.
Apart from dad being a pastor, every other thing growing up was normal.
Chika next door was referred to as 'my wife',
She was a sweet girl, and we became best of friends.
But as we grew up, she wanted more.
A sexual relationship.
I declined. I was scared my dad would find out and skin me alive, or so I thought.
In school, it was the same story,
all my friends had girlfriends, they wouldn't stop filling me in on their escapades with girls, but I wasn't interested.
I gave the same excuse.
They nicknamed me "born again", "pastor's son", I didn't care, at least they stopped trying to convince me.
They stopped bothering me.
But one day, something changed.
It changed the day I met him...

EPISODE 2
It was in my SS3, the day Joseph became my classmate.
"David, he is your new seatmate from now on." Mr Bayo, our maths teacher said to me, after introducing him (Joseph) to the class.
And that was how it started.
At first I didn't understand it. I wondered why I was so aware of him, why I always wanted to be with him, to talk to him, to make him smile, to touch him. Why I always looked forward to mondays, after the weekends, just because I would see him. Why I always imagined the two of us together, doing unspeakable things.
As stupid as it sounds, it felt absolutely normal.
Then I realized it.
It became clear why I wasn't attracted to any female, I was only hiding under the umbrella of "being scared of my father".
I knew he was never going to find out.
The fact hit me hard in the face; I was sexually attracted to Joseph!
I knew it wasn't normal, so I decided to stay cool.
But it was as futile as fetching water with a basket.
And I decided to let Joseph know about it.
I told him.

Hell was let loose the day I confided my feelings to Joseph, after battling with it for some months.
I can never forget the look on his face when I broke the news to him.
When he realized himself, he quickly closed his mouth that had been hanging open from shock, screamed "blood of Jesus" and ran away from me.
The news spread like wild fire, students avoided me like I carried a death plague.
The_Principal ordered me to his office and told me I had been sent home till further notice.
I got home to meet my dad waiting for me in the sitting room. He was obviously furious.
The Principal had called him.

EPISODE 3 Continued..
"David! what demon has possessed you? why have you chosen to drag my name in the mud, to disgrace me this way? Tell me!" He thundered at me, there was fire in his eyes.
I stood there speechless, unable to defend myself.
He continued, "And all these while, I was thinking Joshua was the black sheep of the family. I've been thanking God everyday for the fact that I thought you were living your life to the glory of God, how could you allow the devil use you like this..."
"Come on dad, I think he needs to see a therapist, I heard some people are born gay, the devil has nothing to do with it..." Joshua interrupted.
I hadn't even noticed him in the room.

"Shut up! you slowpoke! when you were sleeping around with all those girls why didn't you remember to attend therapy? Look, that I have not disowned you doesn't mean I still cant."
Joshua chuckled.
Dad turned to me.
"I know God cannot make my son gay. Just go and get ready, the prayer warriors will be having a vigil for you tonight. You must be delivered from whatever unclean spirit that has possessed you." He concluded.
I picked up my school bag and headed for my room.
"God why? You blessed me with two sons, but now, one is promiscous, and the other is supposedly gay, why me God, why? That was my mom's voice I heard, lamenting.
While my dad shut her up with "Quiet woman,the blessings of God maketh rich and adds no sorrow, remember? we just need to fix this".
I slammed my room's door shut and turned the lock,I just wanted to be alone, not like anybody was coming for me anyway.
I sat on the bed and placed my hands on my forehead, Could it be that I was really 'gay' by nature, as Joshua had suggested?
