Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, lend her support for the Gender Equality Bill, by joining her female compatriots in a peaceful protest. This was held on March 23, 2016, in Ikeja, Lagos. An information was passed around on Facebook for people who are interested in joining the protest in order to speak out against the rejection of the bill by the Nigeria Senate.

Surprisingly, Dominic showed up at the rally, holding up a fist of black power with other women, young and old.

truth be told, the protest here in Africa is a wild goose chase. the mantra "what a man can do, a woman can do better" is really destroying the natural order of things. women are not meant to do what a man can do, rather they are meant to do what a man CAN'T do...
