We blame our leaders and tag them as corrupt but little do we realize that the corruption going on among citizens in day to day life is more severe and this is what escalate when we take leadership positions. I was at the "petrol station" this evening, and it was disappointing the way people bribe attendants to jump queue and buy earlier than those on queue. The same set of people will write opinion articles in dailies and post on social media calling political office holders "thieves", "corrupt" and all sort of names. If you can bribe to jump queue at the "petrol station", you will bribe to get contracts, you will bribe your way when you hold political office...if you want to see a corruption free Nigeria, it begins with you, live right and stop blaming those in power, those who are in power today emerge from the society, if you don't live right as an ordinary citizen, how do you live right when you hold public positions? It begins with you! |

Imagine same group of political jobber been going round since mid 1990s from one admin to another. 80% ofTurn Around Maintenance TAM job in refinery has been given to same ineffectual dude since the early '90s. Corruption is deeply rooted in our system. |

Omololu007:The govt can't prosecute everybody in a day or at once. It is the fault of those who allowed such cases pile up and overwhelm the anti-corruption agencies. |
