Oh great! It is about a blocked account that was never funded. I want to know the status, and of course, go ahead and fund it against Winter, if it is still valid or what to do if it is not...almost two years old.

Thanks

Difficult to say cos of the current forex situation in the country. Banks are literarily prostrating to CBN for forex and with increasing demand from people like you and I, its a case of survival of the fittest. Union bank was reported to be the fastest but not quite sure about it as at this present moment. An insider there told me they have backlogs of Form A stuff they need to clear. Forex is scarce and not enough. You may still try it though. However, any bank you decide to use, Patience is the keyword. If you have lots of free cash (like Dasuki) go with Dom account.

which other bank can you recommend apart from Union for form A transaction.

Please House, I will like to ask for counsel on how people (like me) can go about proving their financial prowess. Personally, i can't afford to block 1.8 million and I do not have any family in Germany which I can get a sponsorship letter from yet I will wish to study @ Germany.

Is studying Germany only for the rich?....pls any advice will be highly appreciated.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by honourableseyi: 5:55pm On Mar 25, 2016
I will like to chip in this which may or may not be helpful to the set of people in the situation. It seems DB will not send your confirmation letter to you if the amount you have in the account is not up to the required amount even if it is just10-20euro less . If you have the money, you can send extra 50euro or more to the account depending on when you open your account and the channel in which your money was transferred. If I'm not making a mistake, it has happened to one or two people here in the past. Shalom

Brotherly, even studying in Nigeria is not for everybody. Some people can't afford it let alone Germany.
However, if studying in German is for the rich (according to you), doing same in places like Aussie, UK, NZ or US is for who?...

Take it easy sha. I think everybody here knows €8k is no small quid.

No, it is not for the rich but for those who either have 8k euro or sponsor letter. Since you really wish to, you can't escape any of those two things above except you win a scholarship which is another issue entirely. When there is a good will, there will be a righteous way. Keep trying and don't give up, you never know what could happened in the next minute, hour , day, week and year. Shalom

Welcome, first you would have to go through this thread, just take out time to do that and thank me later. You should note however that waec alone is insufficient for a straight admission into German universities. Also concerning the other issue you raised, l believe you can translate using chrome browser or Google translate. All the best.

Firstly I thank you for your response, I need it my brother. I will take time and read well but I would like you to tell me, what do I need to add to my waec in order to get admission to a German University?

Does your school issue out student copy? It is accepted by uniassist and many schools in Germany.

No, they dont. They only send it to schools.

My dear God is ur strength. I understand how u feel because 2yrs back I had the same issue u are having now. But one thing u have to bear in mind is never give up. I always tell my people that I MUST complete my studies abroad, but (ebee ka ihuru ego).

But I am happy, my confession finally came to pass. I got admission in 2014, but no money no letter. I defered and keep searching for letter till God brings someone who I don't even know up till now. But here I am studying. So believe God and never allow circumstances or challenges stop u from moving forward.

Financially God has been faithful. I ve never borrowed money or ask for help since I came here. And I believe that the same God who know my financial status but never allowed it to stop me can still do it for you.

If I tell u how much I had in my UBA account the day I got my visa u will be surprise how I finally made it here.

I never alluded that you are desperate. I just told you how it is. Studying in Germany is way cheaper than most study destinations. The major turn-off for most people that want to study abroad is the language (Deutsch)

Loan? You can always get that for anything...with your collateral of course. However, paying back is the problem. I don't know how you intend to pay up...

You can explore that, and see how it goes. Tchuss!

There are questions I do not expect. Does that mean Bsc. Students don't work again? Or have I made mention of working during lecture period. Am sorry I can't answer that question because it's not properly addressed.

if one get a loan, can't one be sending the money back from the blocked account on monthly basis back to where the money was borrowed here in Nigeria. is that not possible?
