if one get a loan, can't one be sending the money back from the blocked account on monthly basis back to where the money was borrowed here in Nigeria. is that not possible?
If you have other means of sustaining yourself, it doesn't seem impossible.

No, it is not for the rich but for those who either have 8k euro or sponsor letter. Since you really wish to, you can't escape any of those two things above except you win a scholarship which is another issue entirely. When there is a good will, there will be a righteous way. Keep trying and don't give up, you never know what could happened in the next minute, hour , day, week and year. Shalom

When you go start Motivational seminar?

Nice one Brother.

Hmmmm I funded my account with 8040 since 7th of march and no response yet do we have anybody in this position; want to be sure I need to add the 50 euro before I contact for email correction cos I have not received mail from them before; they only communicate by post
If u read the mail DB sent to u when ur account number was sent to u, u'll realise u're supposed to fund wit a total of 8090€. 50€ for DB as charge fee. Jst send additional 50€ bro, u'll be fine.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by esinjoor: 8:09am On Mar 26, 2016
Just confirmed from Deutsche bank, tranfering 8040 euros is enough to receive confirmation
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by takeastep: 8:19am On Mar 26, 2016
Transferring 8040 Euros is enough to get confirmation but you won't get confirmation if your account is not credited with exactly 8040. Your account will only be credited with 7990 euro ( that's -50euro mandatory processing charge). Its always advisable to include extra 50 Euros when doing your transfer.

Then how do you survive over there?

Listen, most people here have been in this sort of situation one time or the other. Many have succeeded in getting their visas either through the blocked account of sponsorship. I must be frank, its not an easy task.

Don't get yourself worked up on this. If your desire is to go to Germany for your study, it will happen, if you believe.

Mind you, its not going to happen overnight. Especially with your condition.

There's nothing prayer cannot do. Pray to God to send helpers to you. If you have friends, uncle or relatives that can assist you with little cash, begin to gather bit by bit. Approach genuine people around you (do corporate begging lol).

Are you working? If yes, start saving a large portion of your income. If you are not working, look for something to do. No matter how small. Just do something legal to rake in some cash.

The truth is, its rare to see anyone that will borrow you that huge sum.
Financial institutions require collateral before you can get such amount. That's in addition to their crazy interest rate. So, I won't advice you to tow that line.

You may be lucky to get someone who would volunteer to sponsor you. Its possible.

All in all, keep talking, keep posting, keep asking questions...and be sincere.

It will happen.

It is only advisable to add the 50 euros so as to be able to get exactly 670 euros per month when you get to Germany and not for confirmation, the amount credited will be confirmed without regarding the deduction

takeastep is telling u the truth. it's highly unlikely for u to get the confirmation if you don't add the 50 € to make the total deposit 8040 €. if you read this thread and the previous one meticulously you would've have seen over 5 different instances where this same issue was addressed over and over again. i'm sure many people read your posts and chose to ignore you in order for you to learn the hard way, but just do yourself a favor and complete the payment if you don't wanna wait endlessly for a confirmation that won't come. I might be wrong, but so far I haven't heard of anyone who got notified without depositing the full 8040. however if you are able to get the confirmation without adding €50 kindly let us know as that'd be something new for some of us to learn on the thread.

I think he has already deposited €8040. The argument is whether or not DB will send confirmation without extra €50, making it €8090.

I say he will get it. However, he knows he won't be getting €670 per month...that too can be settled later anyway.

the thing is DB deducts a transfer fee of 50 €. so you need to make a deposit of 8090 so that after DB takes their charges you have 8040 in the account and then this amount gets blocked in the account and you can then get the notification. but if you don't have up to 8040 in your account the account won't be blocked and you won't get a notification. I stand to be corrected on this tho.

If you credit your account with 8040, Dbank will remove 50euro which will make the total less. If you transfer the 50 or more euro and your account has met the required amount, it will not be blocked. Which means you can withdraw it at any time when you get to Germany.

I could remembered someone on this platform sometimes ago if I'm not making a mistake that had to send someone to DB office in Germany; and after much persuasion and wahala, they showed him the amount of the money inside the account which is not yet up to the required amount. The guy had to pay the balance before the confirmation was sent. If he send it, he has nothing to loose even if it is more than 8040

UPDATE ON DB CONFIRMATION STUFF.

"Now to me, its been over 2 weeks I have been debited with the evdence of my Telex without a reply from the bank for confirmation, deadline no far self. The last time I mentioned it, I didn't get one single suggestion, the ones that commented were more interested in the fact that i could press a panic button which I found not so great, the other guy in same situation had given up already, (you wouldn't imagine how it feels).

I have sent email through the contact form, no reply
Replied the mail they used to send my contact details, no reply
Called my branch directly as predicted they wouldn't disclose info on the phone
Sent email to the embassy ....they said they can't help me.
A very dear friend mobilized some other friends too to check different DB branches around, only one came with a positive reply after standing his ground that he won't leave the bank and would rather die there if they don't give him positive response (true friend)..the bank said the amount remained 15 euros that if that is paid, the problem will be solved, that was on friday and it was paid, and an assurance was given that the confirmation will be sent on Tuesday, today na Wednesday, no reply yet"

"I guess he was referring to my visa application so far. Here is the update, (I think you all deserve to know). My friend went back to the bank in the morning to know why my confirmation was not sent yet, after doing what was requested and apparently the woman he met was confused as to the reason why, so she just wrote out some info and faxed to the HQ, but when I was called to confirm if the email address was correct I wasn't with my phone so the guy left the bank he made it known to me, what had been done. Then, later in the day, my brother and friend stormed back to a branch close to him, after all protocols, it was realised that the mail was sent on Tuesday to a wrong email! Village witches at work, after frustrating the other efforts.Just after leaving the bank, behold! The confirmation letter dropped live and direct. I didn't even know the reason why they didn't block the initial amount. As I had something around, 8100 or so before the 15 euros was added on Friday. You see village witches? But God strong pass them"

I hope this will help?

I really have no idea why he doesn't want to add it up to €8090.
DB says the full amount stated on the application form has to be in the account for them to send a confirmation.

He can only get the confirmation if DB has other ways of getting their service charge, because they wouldn't want to go against the
established €670/month.

He should just top the €50, shikena.

Try University of Konstanz. They require above average bachelor degree in related field, GRE, English language proficiency, good motivational letter, 2 letter of recommendation etc...

You might just be considered!

I have seen someone who graduated with a CGPA of 3.0 on 5.0 scale with a very good IELTS score and was denied admission at the Universities of Konstanz, Osnabruck, Jena and Bonn. He should consider going for another B.Sc programme. It will be extremely difficult for him to secure admission with 2.58 to MSc/MA in Management/Economics/Business related courses in Germany.

Pretty new here and my first post. Is any NL member presently studying in TUC - Technical University of Clausthal? Will be joining them in April and will like to hook up upon arrival.
Thank you.

Not denying that. But I have also seen someone gaining admission for masters with less than 3.0cgpa. Nothing is constant. He just have to try.

Some schools require German equivalent of 2.5 or better (which Nigerian 3.0 gives)
While some like Konstanz require just an above average bachelor degree plus GRE plus good motivation letter plus how u perform in the interview etc.
