I believe you are not in any science related field, that is why you don't that the knowledge in one science field is relevant in other spheres. The knowledge of insects is very important in engineering and biotechnology among others

I think the aim of Nigeria Education should be reviewed ! To me its it's too bookish with so many irrelevant and uneccesary things they make us cram !
Some universities still have short hand and typewriting in their curriculum , they teach type writing with a typewriter for that matter ! What a waste of time !!!

Not a waste of time my dear....Shorthand is stil use in some govt parastatals...apart from that if you are good in it..it will improve ur diction cos it teaches about sounds(phonetics). while typewriting is stil very relevant in banks and government offices too....
