LudaChriz:Yorubas will vote APC to spite the igbos while the igbos will vote PDP to spite the Yorubas and the Hausa/Fulanis. Igbos were the major factor GEJ was hated and lost the election with all rigging and power of incumbency. Leave Sen.Ali Modu Sherif, once the 2019 election approches even himself will cast his vote for APC. "Fear North". |

LudaChriz:PDP votes came from massive rigging in the SS (Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Calabar, Edo, Rivers and Delta) and SW (Lagos and Ekiti) states. This time there is no power of incumbency, PDP votes will shrink. |

meromero11:PDP zoning their Presidential ticket to the NE will never give them victory. Is it not the same NE they left and abandoned to burn only to use the money meant for fighting insurgents for campaign and shared amongst themselves They need to do more that.As for their VP candidate , they are better off with picking their VP candidate from the SE because that is their only main support base for now . And that won't still guarantee them victory. NC is definitely out of the equation because they can't field two northern candidates as President and VP . SS: fielding a VP candidate from the SS will create acrimony with the SE because they believed the SS already served their terms with Jonathan and the SE will expect nothing short of total support this time around from the SS for their own candidate. As for SW, they already have a sitting VP in place and a well respect and responsible one at that. this region is traditionally anti PDP so even zoning the Presidential ticket to them may not be enough to make them win the region talkless of the national election. And remember that will even automatically cost them SE support. The only way forward for the PDP is for them to close shop and merge with any of this small parties. ( meaning they should just forget about 2019 election for their own good) |

Alphaoscar:I can not but laugh at your submissions If PDP chooses their Presidential candidate from the NE & Vice President from the SE, then you should know that APC has lost it all. With this permutation, PDP will certainly get 80-90% of votes from the SE & SS, at least 50% of votes from the NE being the zone of their candidate (don't forget that one of the states in this zone is currently under PDP); and come what may, PDP will certainty get up to 40% of votes from the SW & NC; and at worst 10% of votes from the NW. You can now do the maths. I don't do sentiment or blind argument |

Look all these talk of PDP makes me laugh. All you PDP propagandists... Because you were promised appointments and things changed before it was your turn. Honestly, I will be honest, PDP is likely not to even be in 2019 election. Of course they will be there but no one would even look at them. Even if APC fails, no one is voting PDP. APC, regardless of inner politics, have done in 12 months what PDP failed to do in 50years. The difference between APC snd PDP is this, while PDP are just money grabbing monsters who seek to rotate power, make no mistakes, APC are power grabbing too, all politicians everywhere are BUT APC has always had a vision for Nigeria, a working Nigeria. Corruption is not the causes of Nigeria's problem; all countries and their govt are corrupt money loothers. Ours is Greed. People take and give back. PDP want to take, leave everybody else in destitue and enrich only a minority of the population. Enough of this "seat for my brother" mentality. PDP candidates at all levels do not know they work for the people. They think public seats are their family inheritance so they think they are not answerable to the people. Now I am not pro-PDP neither pro-APC, honestly i want both of them out. No more. But we gave PDP a chance for 50 years, let us give APC a chance. In 2019 one thing is definite and sure, PDP is not winning. Unless they rig elections which will only anger Nigerians. If APC provides quality of live for the people, bye PDP. |

PassingShot:So, the percentage of south eastern voters outside south east is negligible? There are more eligible voters of South East origin living outside the south east than those living within the south east. Last guber election in Lagos showed their strength. |

PassingShot:You guys need to wake up from your slumber and PDP mentality. Nigerians no longer vote for 'my brother'. If they did, Buhari would never have won. We are now voting for political ideas, political startegies which is a foreign thing to PDP. |

Sunnynwa:My point was lost on you. The number of SE voters in other region was not the reason the OP made a big joke of himself by submitting that registered voters in SE & SS are almost equal to registered voters in the NW and NE. Or was it? Again, more SEners are registered in their region than those registered outside their region. Though this is not my concern. |

PDP right now has an image problem. Who are the faces and voices of PDP? Thugs. Are there no distinguish gentlemen and ladies in PDP? We need more of Ben Bruce from every region in Nigeria. Nigerians deserve opposition with class. PDP should focus on re-branding. |

Even though I have been anti-APC, and pro-GEJ/PDP somewhat, I think the 2019 elections would be tricky. As it stands, APC will win 2019, whether PMB goes for a 2nd term or hands over to someone else. The strongest chance for APC to lose power in 2019 is if some of their key members become disgruntled and leave the party and then join forces with other opposition to either form a new party, join a relatively new party like KOWA, or join PDP. It would still be difficult for them even if they join PDP. This relatively new party with key APC and PDP members in their fold, and with a presidential candidate from the North (NW, NE, NC), and a strong VP from the south, would have great chances in 2019. And they need to come hard on all APC has been doing wrongly, including broken promises, and then watch them have a landslide victory in 2019. Otherwise APC would meet just a few promises, and continue manipulating the system. Don't forget the power of the incumbent, they won't make GEJ's mistakes. Even if it means controlling INEC and the judiciary. |

PassingShot:Only inclusion of states of origin in census and voter registration data can put this argument to rest and so far, only the people of the South East seem to be asking for the inclusion of those data in such exercises. Why is it in WAEC that uses state of residence ie where d exams were written, South Eastern states do not record the highest registration of candidates but in JAMB, where state of origin is used, the number of applicants from south eastern states almost doubles that of WAEC and the south east states end up having highest candidates in JAMB than other states but not so in WAEC & NECO. That said, the op presented wrong and misleading information. |

Sunnynwa:Just leave the programmed zombies to continue their pay-per-post job. They think this is 2015 that they used propaganda and lies to deceive many. Majority of Nigerians now know the reality. You call yourself "Mr integrity" but the amount you budgeted for Aso Rock feeding doubles that of the GEJ; you secretly recruited your cronies into the CBN; Your wife and Garba Shehu have suddenly become FOREX dealers; Fulani herdsmen are slaughtering people from NC to SW down to SS & SE yet nobody calls them to order; you have practically denied all your campaign promises. With all these, tell me any reasonable soul that will ever think of voting APC again, only zombies |

Pdp testing the waters but they are just jokers With the supreme court rubbishing card readers, PDP should forget 2019, only the card readers can make an opposition party win aso rock and even in states governorship elections as it stands as the ruling party will employ every rigging machine to remain in power. PDP should have been tactful in the card reader issue. They dug their grave by rejecting the card readers. APC is no fool, they will do all it takes to remain in power after all the supreme court has given more power to politicians to rig. Votes no longer count that much. |

LudaChriz:PDP will loose woefully should they pick a vice presidential candidate from the SE. You expect the hausa/fulani man who the igbos ridicules and insults on a daily basis to vote for such a ticket? Or is it the yoruba man who the igbo man considers his arch enemy to vote for such a ticket. It will be a complete disaster for PDP. Rochas is the only igbo man capable of pulling a slight weight politically across the lenght and breadth of the country. The rest S/Easterners are just pure tribalist harbouring deep biafran ideology. |
