You guessed right, at the BDC, so our naira is equal to the value at the black market, just that Presidency wants to save their face by pegging the CBN rate as official rate. There is nothing going on at official rate than the corruption of giving his wife 22m dollars from CBN to change to naira and keep the profit. That is the deal that is going on now.

Devaluing our currency reduces the pressure on foreign reserves, reduction in consumption of foreign goods thereby increase local production and provide employment in the long run. The negative part is that since most of our products or services used are imported, there's the possibly of inflation which we are seeing now. It's a two sided thing for us as it has it's advantages and disadvantages

Who is benefitting from from the cbn exchange rate?Every price locally has gone up in view of the market value of the naira and we are still debating about devaluation. Naira has been devalued while the cbn is now subsidising those who have access to the cbn rates.

2) Importers can no longer import foreign goods that are produced locally.
