Why I Should be Trained by Topsquino

Hello, my name is Favour. Recently, I started learning the art of writing, hoping to hone the skill enough to write impeccably. Writing is fun and it can also be rewarding. I, however, don't have an account on freelancer.com. This is simply because I am still learning the ropes of which proofreading and copyediting is included.

I would, therefore, be glad if I learnt this aspect of the writing process from you. And I hope you consider me the perfect candidate because of the following reasons:

I am a student:
Being a student, I'm inclined to learning fast. So, with me you can rest, assured of a swift, teacher-to-pupil relationship. Also, it is my wish to have a marketable skill which I could freelance with in school. So, I am keen to gain this knowledge from you.

I am very passionate about the written word:
When it comes to the use of words, I show a great deal of ardour. So, learning how to string words together and punctuate correctly has always been a priority of mine. My fingers itch to correct, each time I see a badly written text. However, teaching myself hasn't been easy.

I am a perfectionist:
I am kinda 'allergic to mediocrity'. This is the main reason why I don't have a freelancer account yet. There's a need to up the ante from the current level of my ability. I am not comfortable taking my hands off work that is yet to be perfected.
With some help, I know I can attain some level of skill-perfection before setting out to work.


So, there you have it -- my reasons to be one of those you will take by the hand.

I do not know what has inspired you to do this, but I'm happy for this. I have always yearned to learn directly from one of you gurus here. Therefore, I would be grateful if I am a beneficiary of this selfless offer of yours.

I need someone to put me through on how to get private messages here on Nairaland read. I have tons of messages from peeps here on tis platform. On my profile I see this message "Please check your e-mail now.". So when I go through my email I see the person's ID but no mail content. What do I need to do, to get message read?. I feel most peep think I deliberately ignore their messages.

That is called PM. PM means Private Message. When someone tries to send you a PM on Nairaland, the person is not given a chance to type anything.

What Nairaland automatically does is to inform you that someone wants to send you a mail. Then you can go through the profile of the person.

What you'd see when you get to your inbox is something more like this

"Neduzze5 would like to send you an email message, but since you're not connected, you'll need to contact Neduzze5 by replying this email"


If its the kind of person you wish to communicate you, you can then reply the mail from your inbox in this manner;

"Hello, I received your PM request via Nairaland. Is there anything I can do for you?"

I think it's a feature to help protect your email from scammers and email fishers. That's all I can tell you right now. Hope my explanation is clear enough
