Hello guys. Am here with another question. Please how does the smart charger looks like? I don't know anything about this setups. I only know of battery, inverter and UPS. Am just managing to put things in place and get someone to help me fix them up. Please help me check if this inverter comes with an in built charger, one of my uncle wants to buy it for me. And please is it a nice inverter? Do I need the UPS again after getting this inverter? The inverter below is a 1500W. Thanks guys

iamawara:you obviously don't need the ups again since they do same thing. can't say if it's a nice inverter. |

Ceejay,I ve got another 200 amps fairly used battery yet same experience, I decided to use the battery direct on 12volts TV and fan I have in the house and guess what both batteries separately lasted for over 24 hours. Saint I will give your suggestion a trial. |

Ceejay I will also advice you focus your transactions on new batteries. These old batteries are sometimes problematic. 2 Likes |

iamawara: From ur breakdown the inverter doesn't have an inbuilt charger so u might need to get an external smart charger to charge ur batteries which in turn powers ur batteries. |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by saint2ace(m): 9:57pm On Mar 30, 2016 |
9ijaprince: 9ijaprince good to know u have a work around ur setup, but from ur explanation it's evident either ur UPS isn't working to optimize properly or u have some appliances connected that u cannot trace. Personally I advise pple to use an inverter to power their appliances not minding the sinewave, most of the UPS bought second hand have issues, if u can get it brand new then it's a whole different ball game. As much as I appreciate cost as a critical issue I would advise we optimize our purchase and the outcome of our setup. My 2pence.... 2 Likes |

9ijaprince:True talk my brother, The truth is na money dey disgrace person, there's this company near my office at anthony village , they sell and and supply brand new inverters and batteries, I just take style enter there and asked them how much 200ah battery cost, the guy said 90k,that dollar has gone up, I almost nak head for wall when I dey find the door. So how can most nairalanders that are managing themselves afford 70-90k for 200ah battery alone, things hard... Like sincerely, to purchase a brand new battery for the setup is good but where the money dey ? 2 Likes |

after serious permutations and research, i decided to go for a brand new 200amps battery made in india(with 6 months guarantee from the seller) he specifically adviced me against going for any cheaper made in china battery like mercury and the rest. i have to cough out 70k.. for those that want mercury 200amps battery, its 59k in the market. 1 Like |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by ceejay80s(m): 8:26am On Apr 01, 2016 |
toyo4souls:What's the watts of the standing fan? I hope its not OX/ industrial fans ? If the watts of the fan is not much, u can get a 1500w inverter with inbuilt 20amp charger and a 200ah battery. And if u are looking at cost , then go for 650va ups ,20 or 30amp smart charger and 200ah battery |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by toyo4souls(m): 8:56am On Apr 01, 2016 |
ceejay80s: I plan to use the car battery. The fan is not an Ox shouldn't be up to 50. |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by ceejay80s(m): 9:10am On Apr 01, 2016 |
Valto:My brother i agree, if u have a trusted fairly used seller, u won't have problem with used batteries, I don't mean naija used o, any inverter wey naija use, if e no spoil e no go buy another,, even brand new batteries, if not used properly ,it won't last, Like u said some of these brand new batteries sold on konga/jumia etc aren't original, take for instance ups batteries sold aat computer village, u will hardly get original 12v 7ah ups battery, and they will all lie that its original, despite the fact that its brand new, after charging,it doesn't last till I discovered only one shop in computer village where u can get the original, na people pocket go talk because money no dey |
