Hey guys,
Anybody with latest info about Ilorin departmental cut off marks? This is urgent cos my decision on possible applying for 'change of institutions' is centered on it.

I have 208 in my jamb and I put in for law; I would really love to know the jamb score pegged for law this year as (according to record) the cut-off varies year to year. And as result of issues that trailed this year's jamb which I believe cut across, I suppose the cut-off should as well be considerably schemed.

Pls anyone will LATEST info regarding this should pls air it out.

I will adviSe you to change your institution possibly to UI because the cut of for any course in UI is 200. With that score and you passing their post ume, you stand a good chance.. As for UIL that score is definitely not ok..

[b]Thanks guys for the candid advice.
However, I am considering changing for Ife rather than UI. What informs this opinion is the fact that I consider UI to be 'discriminating' in terms of the processes involved in its screening exercise. It's a general knowledge that if one doesn't possess relatively 5 of the top O'level grades that's 'As', 'Bs', the chance of getting in is as good as 'none' (except otherwise, the pattern of admission has now taken in new dimension). So since 'such' is lesser or has outright left into extinction in Ife, I think it should be the best solace. Though each with its fault, I learnt Ife also relies heavily on its post-ume, meaning that if you have less score on ur putme as against the score slated for your desired course, chances are that you're either not given anything or you are given of the 'lesser' courses. (this claim still subject to verification though.) A friend of mine who's currently in Ife told me that I would've to perform extraordinarily in the putme to be given my desired course - Law! What this translate to me when I did the calculation is that I would have to get 300-350 out of 400points over all in putme before I could merit the course as the score would complement my 'poor' jamb score.

And to me this seems an herculean task. Abi what do you guys think? Please help a brother.

With ur write up it shows UI is out of ur considerations. Now to ilorin and ife. My advice is you stay put to unilorin since u will needing up to 300 to 350 out of 400 bfor u r bin considered for admission in ife, Wic u ursef admit it's going to be herculean. So instead of wasting ur time and resources in doing change of course to ife, y nt do dat toward unilorin so dat u can be given a relevant art related.
