One Nigeria is...ALL ABOUT OIL! They have ravaged most of the oil in the SS; nearly 80% of their proven reserves depleted, environment polluted now they are heading into SE. Imo, Abia and Anambra. Anambra has the largest oil and gas reserves in Nigeria followed by Imo and Abia...the irony is Nigerians don't know this. Even Igbos don't even know this! They hide this from us!

We can pretend all is well but remember...when a situation or condition reaches critical mass, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT!
Bros most of us knw that Anambra have the highest oil reserve starting from orient oil,Etc

The war will come from boundary disputes.

Some Niger deltans will want to join igbo in one country, some will not, take Delta and Rivers igbo speaking people for instance, some will tell u that they are igbos, some will say they are not.

If we divide, Who will take ILORIN for instance? Yorubas, hausa-fulanis or middlebelt?

The hausa-fulanis and the middlebelters will also have very serious problems.
Some middlebelters (muslims especially) like Niger state people love the hausas and will want to join Arewa as a country, while some parts of the middlebelt who are dominantly christians like Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Southern kaduna hate hausas and will never want to join hausas as one country, so in such case who will now take Abuja? Arewa or Middlebelt?

These are the problems we are talking about my brother.

As an Igbo guy, what happens in Abuja, Illorin or the middle belt is not my business. My business is in what is now called SS and SE and the Igbos of the lower Benue.

Igbo is a tribe, SS is not. there are no 'SS people'. The Ogoja Man does not know who the Urohbo Man is, so what is this SS you are talking about?

Well the ogoja and urohbo are not igbos. The ss will never be part of biafra oh.
You people should be realistic, instead of that we will remain as one Nigeria
If a referendum is carried out the ogoja man and urohbo man would vote to be together without biafra.

Talk is cheap. Go and study (not mere reading) the circumstances that surrounded the civil war, and you'll know that if you really mean the business you still have a very long way to go. In Nigeria, there can't be any secession without war. The question is can you afford it and how prepared are you? Because with all the weapons in the arsenal of ojukwu and his military trainings he still had to flee the country.

I hate to quote FFK but here goes

Who introduced tribalism into the politics of the south? The Yoruba or The Igbo? – Femi Fani Kayode.
by admin on Oct 28, 2012 • 12:52 pm 54 comments
’Igbo domination of Nigeria is only a matter of time’- Charles Onyeama, a prominent igbo lawyer and member of the Central Legislative Council, 1945. (Pg. 204 ‘Ethnic Politics In Kenya and Nigeria’ by Godfrey Mwakikagile). ‘It would appear that the God of Africa has created the Igbo nation to lead the children of Africa from the bondage of ages …’ – Dr Azikiwe, President of the Pan-Igbo Federal Union. (The West African Pilot of July 8, 1949).
The first statement from Charles Onyeama, which was made in 1945, was the first overtly tribal and divisive comment that was made and recorded in the politics of southern Nigeria in our history. That is where and when tribalism in the south actually started.
After that comment and as a direct reaction to it, the yoruba established the ”Egbe Omo Oduduwa” to further and protect yoruba interests and after that came the formation of the Action Group in 1948.

The second statement from Zik, which was made in 1949 (and which clearly shows that the great Zik of Africa had forgotten that the NCNC was not an igbo party at the beginning and that it had in fact been established by an upper class and very well educated yoruba man by the name of Sir Herbert Macauly, one of the famous ”Black Victorians” from the Lagos Colony, and who, at his death bed, was gracious enough to hand over the leadership of the party to him even though he was igbo) confirmed that tribalism was here to stay in the south and that ever since that time the igbo had an agenda to dominate others. This sentiment and this unfortunate igbocentric attitude is what cost Zik the Premiership of the Western Region in 1953 when the NCNC narrowly lost to the Action Group.
It is clear from this that if you want to know who started tribalism in southern politics and the politics of the southern protectorate of Nigeria it was not the yoruba or the southern minorities but the igbo. The excesses of the Igbo State Union and their treatment of the southern minorities and the yoruba from 1943 till 1967 was completely unacceptable. The rest of the south were prepared to accept the igbo as equals with open arms but they were not prepared to be politically dominated or conquered by them.
Worst still the first coup in the history of Nigeria, which was the Jan 15th 1966 coup d’etat led by Major Ifejuana and Major Kaduna Nzeogwu, was essentially an igbo coup and an igbo grab for power. I say this because 95 per cent of those that took part in it were igbo and 99 per cent of the political and military leaders that were brutally murdered during it’s execution were non-igbo. It was this coup and it’s sheer brutality that led to the even more brutal northern officers counter-coup of July 1966 (in which 300 igbo officers were killed in one night including the igbo Head of State, Gen. Aguiyi-Ironsi, and his yoruba host, the Military Governor of the Western Region, Gen. Adekunle Fajuyi who sought to protect him), the pogrom of igbos in the north (in which over 100,000 igbo civilians were killed in a few weeks) and the Nigerian civil war (in which 2 million Nigerians and Biafrans died). These are the facts of our history. Live and learn.
If you want to know who introduced tribalism into southern politics, it was the igbo. If you want to know who carried out the first coup in our country it was the igbo. Having done the painstaking research over a number of years these are my findings and this is my conclusion.

Was the country just amalgamated yesterday?? Where was his voice during Jonathan's regime?? Did the herdsmen crisis begin yesterday?? Where was he between 2011 and 2015??

One day you want out of the union, the next day you wanna be the president, acting as though there's a Nobel prize for stupidity for which you are strong contender. And who says break up is a "sure banker" for peace??

The highest mistake the biafrans will make is to decive themselves into the delusion the the Niger delta would join them....
The same referendum that will create biafra is the same one that will separate the Niger delta.

You obviously missed it when all the SS ethnic nationalities representatives recently rose from an emergency meeting and openly dissociated themselves from Biafra. In fact they all unanimously warned IPOB to limit their agitations to the five SE states. Even the Aniomas' representative made it clear that Anioma land has never been part of Biafra but has always been part of Western Region, Midwestern Region, Bendel State and now Delta State. Ifeanyi Okowa towed same line. Even Governor Wike, whom one expected to Identify with Biafra by virtue of his Ikwerre origin, recently banned pro-Biafra demonstrations in Rivers State.
That the SS identified with the SE for supporting GEJ does not automatically translate to identifying with the Biafra thing. The SS nurses genuine fears of Igbo domination in that proposed Biafra Republic. But rather than Igbos addressing these fears in concrete and unequivocal terms they label as Yoruba any SS person who honestly expresses these fears.

Exactly my point! Agreed that one Nigeria is a huge fraud. But a Biafra with SS in it will be a huger fraud in which the SS tribes will be totally subdued and quietened. That is why if we can't have a separate SS country without Igbos in it, then we stick to one Nigeria. After all an Igbo man, Zik, invented the "One Nigeria" rubbish at a time it was clear to even the blind that Nigeria was not one and could never become one in 100 years to come.

Isn't funny how Niger delta, SS, SE etc are classified as tribes and ethnic groups.? Guys get an education and stop sounding like ignorant illiterates. Those are geographical expression while Igbo, Ijaw, Ibibio, isoko, Erik, Urhobo, Annang, etc are ethnic groups. So when Igbos secedes, they are pulling out with their kiths and kin in whatever geographical expression they are found in.
for other minorities that lumps Niger Delta as ethnic group I think its time to think home whether to from a nation for your tribe or keep on lumping yourself to an entity whose dissolution will be a child's play

The SS people have no problem with one another. Over time they have come to see themselves as one and the same people not necessarily because they are the same tribe but because they share the same spirit of mutual love and respect, tolerance for one another, live and let live attitude, non-domineering spirit, etc. Whenever I as a SS person meets another SS person from a state different from mine we just begin to flow in mutual respect and understanding as if we knew each other before then. But when I meet SE Igbos it is never the same experience.
Americans are of different races but have over time come to accept one another due to shared value systems and political philosophy, hence an Irish American can speak for the rest of Americans despite differences of origin. Same with the SS now. An Urhobo, Ogoja, itshekiri, etc can speak for any other SS tribe. It is just like how the former Bendelites were of diverse ethnicities yet had the same attitude, same value systems, etc.

No, you can't speak for them. They can speak for themselves. The "SS" tribes has Igbos listed as part of them, so pray tell, how you left out Igbos in the geographical expression of "_Niger Delta and SS" as if they are nonexistent. Who are the Bendelites?? The old Bendel state comprises of the Igbo speaking area of Anioma.
Hell, what are we even discussing?? We've been at peace with both our eastern and western neighbours east of the Niger for long too. So why the beef.
Stop roping the other minorities in. The same advice you gave Igbos is what i am giving back...Focus on your tribe.
