All countries you listed have active nuclear power plants...india has over 7 nuclear plants

You spoke absolutely my mind.....like someone rightly observed in the eyes of these jesters, Buhari can never go wrong and this is just where the madness in these clowns begin from. Nuclear energy from my last research is the most expensive to build and maintain source of power generation and from my last research, hydrothermal method (the one we are using) is the cheapest to build and maintain yet Nigeria keeps hovering from 2,000mw to 4,000mw to 5,000mw down to 1,980mw......the question is, if Nigeria cannot get it right with common hydrothermal (which India, Pakistan, Indonesia used to power their economies up to optimal results before attempting Nuclear energy) is it with Nuclear that comes with radio active elements like uranium and plutonium that are carcinogenic in nature that Nigeria wants to run with? Indeed these zombies are blind bats intellectually. Thumbs up to you bro for educating that mallam.

Was the basis of the discussion based on maintenance of nuclear plants or that the government shouldnt embark on nuclear energy because some projects are should be attended to first

a good journey starts with a step, all we need are good hands to handle this projects if you are complaining about our mismanagement, then the country shouldnt engage in any projects at all since we know we are so poor at taking care of things

countries like japan and russia that has onhand experts, did that stop nuclear reactor from imploding on it self

pls do not insult my knowledge of chemistry it is very profound
Since your knowledge on chemistry is very profound then I need not say much, my good friend.
First, I apologize if have insulted your knowledge in anyway.
Secondly, please, aside from overpriced bridges, name just two projects in this great country that has been handled right? Not even d senate itself or d housing projects of its leaders are right?
Chemistry, my friend, doesn't even begin to explain the phenomenal science of nuclear physics of which I have basic knowledge. Chemistry is just the most basic science that gives one a simple insight of the nature of radioactive elements. for example the water we drink IS made up of hydrogen and oxygen but the same hydrogen is the same hydrogen that is used to create a bomb that can destroy a whole continent in one spark! Chemistry introduces you to d radioactive isotopes not the know how.
The Japan and Russia u mentioned are actually pioneers in nuclear science, their technology rivals that of the united states and its allies still they could only stand and watch helplessly when disaster hit their nuclear plants.
Japan and Russia are far more advanced than Nigeria and I promise all the chemistry and physics professors in this country will be the first to run away when 'your beloved nuclear plant' goes into a meltdown because of a 3 day warning strike by the union.
My late father had a saying, 'show that u can mange what you have first then u deserve a new and better one'. Of course I never agreed with him as a child but I'm wiser now as an adult.
Mark my words, the USA will never build any Nuclear plant for Nigeria because it knows Nigeria is not ready but China or Russia will jump to build it and d price tag and fraud that will follow will make u cover your ears when u hear it. but the disaster, when it hits will make your blood run cold.
Oil and chemical spills can be cleaned but nuclear disasters can't ....go and ask the very Russia and Japan you mentioned.

India has several multi-productive refineries as well while Nigeria is quarrelling with just a handful that refuse to produce fuel. Where are all the esteemed professors and universities I wonder!

Perhaps if we jump over to the highly dangerous nuclear power projects we will get it right,......cool.
