Is It Wrong For Pastor To Buy Fuel From Black Market ? by Nobody: 8:35am On Apr 03, 2016
This wednesday after a futile search for fuel at filling stations, i was told by someone that there was a black market selling at the price of 170 per litre.

I rushed there to meet a lot of people including our pastor.. I greeted him but he didnt respond so i thought maybe he didnt hear.

This saturday, he saw me and apologized to me.. He said he knew he was wrong to have visited such place but he had no choice as he had to fuel the church bus and generator.

He told me to forgive him and that myself should desist from buying there again as most of the fuel were gotten from vandalisation and are illegal.

Till now, am still in shock.. Since when did it became a sin ti buy fuel from where i can get it.. When is not that i vandalised pipeline or something.

Please is it a sin to buy fuel from black market in this hard times.

if your definition of black market is : A filling station that has hiked the price if their fuel, then it is not a sin...

if however, you know that the sellers are "pipeline vandals" then you're wrong. You are doing a disservice both to yourself and to your country.

My main point is if the fuel came from real Nigerians that don't want people to suffer, you can buy.. But if it's from the Zombies, then i suggest you desist

The pastor should have applied the same faith that enabled Pastor Chris and Daddy G.O Adeboye to drive their cars without fuel instead of encouraging the evil of black market grin grin grin.

Pastor Chris and Daddy G.O Adeboye used their faith to drive for hundreds of miles on Holy Spirit instead of buying from the black market.

I have not lied, Pastor Chris and Daddy G.O Adeboye on numerous occasions have made the claim that they drove their car on faith without fuel.

I can't see any sign that you went to school in your comment.

I made a clear distinction between what is right and what is wrong. I made no reference to Pastors in general or to the OP's pastor specifically.

If you have a grouse with any pastor in your past, take it up with that individual. Don't come here to spew rubbish and quote SOMEONE WHO IS YOUR FATHER'S AGEMATE just to prove a point.

knowledge and conscience are what will determine if he can or cannot buy the fuel.

no matter the source of the fuel , is the business legal?, what does he want to use the fuel for?

The question is...
What is the legality of black market in Nigeria?

The answer to this question would determine whether it's a sin or not.

you cannot just judge it based on legality.
let's examine a scenario, there was an accident on an express road and the driver is badly injured and losing blood fast. a pastor, his son and the driver where in the car, but only the driver got injured. The hospital is like 20 kilometres away and the car can still move. The son can drive, but his driver licence has expired. The pastor cannot drive. now will the pastor allow the son drive the injured person to the hospital knowing fully well he has no licence? would you say that the son had sin for driving the injured man to the hospital?

This your question is an epic one.

But I think what we should look for is saving Life First.

Your comment here Shows that you are very rude and lack decorum.

Is there any thing wrong in the question that I have asked:
Oga how do U know a pipeline vandals fuel on d road. Ur pastor is not telling d whole truth.

You that went to school should think before putting any comment here.

Your last comment below actually shows the kind of person you are:
If you have a grouse with any pastor in your past, take it up with that individual. Don't come here to spew rubbish and quote SOMEONE WHO IS YOUR FATHER'S AGEMATE just to prove a point.

I would NOT comment on this because you DO not know my AGE and who I was before coming here to say all this. You that is as ols as METUSELAH, God will help you to know how to respond.
