Try to sign into Hotmail on a computer. If the password still doesn't work, you may have to reset it & verify your hotmail account before you get to do it on the Lumia.

Update:

So I updated Groove (the new music player) today and my lost playlist from 8.1 materialized

For more than a year, I had recurring issues with my Xbox Music playlists.

I have dozens of playlist on my laptop, and I usually sync them to my Lumia using MediaMonkey (occasionally Windows Media Player).

For months, the playlists on the Lumia would not sync completely and multiple copies of the playlists would appear. Deleting the music and playlists on the phone (using the File Manager and the Music app) failed to stop this frustrating problem.

For mote than a year, I googled and checked but there was solution that worked for me, and it was a common problem for many WP enthusiasts worldwide.

I really hope this new Groove Music app has rectified this issue.

Thanks. I've seen the notification for that one. I'll do it tomorrow when my data plan resets.

I followed the tips you and others gave, and the went very smoothly. No interruptions or problems.

Just estimate 2GB for everything.
To avoid any problems, remove the sim card before you start downloading the update.

I subscribed for Glo weekend plan #500 but I can't really place a figure on the mb I used cause the network was bleeping up and I had to start over again so many times. You should check the previous posts cause someone mentioned a thing about that.

I've been having issues wit The windows 10 upgrade, It got to 7 percent and got stuck in there for upto 30 minutes and later came up with an "error in upgrading windows 10 error code ****" (not d stars tho I kinda forgot d error code) but I also noticed dat it has already taken upto 300mb of my data. Pls what could have been d problem. Help a broda pls

For smooth update, it's best to remove the sim card from the phone. Try that. You can create a hotspot from another device and use wifi to update your phone. Also, estimate just below 2GB for everything.

Now I'm getting so pissed. It's been a persistent problem for a while but I keep ignoring it since I can do without those apps anyways and most are just updates, so I keep using the previous versions.

However this is a new-to-be-installed app that I terribly need.

*Lumia 920; 8.1 Denim (no memory card slot), just 32gig on-board storage.
*100mb of 32gig currently available.
*Changing time update from automatic SIM update to manual update and vice versa already tried.
*All updates attempted on fast WiFi (Airtel)
*Download goes thru, rapidly installs half way and drops out.
*Restarting device (and heading straight to store upon reboot) already tried.
*Attempt to repeat download simply starts from the beginning consuming another data. A 5mb app, but I've wasted close to 70 mb re-trying.

- I have been trying the installation since about 4 days ago with over 250mb free hard drive space.
- I've been experiencing memory issues ever since I began using IE on the phone for browsing and also had my browser data enabled to sync across devices. I had to switch off the feature so that my browsing data on my windows tablet does not keep hogging up space on my phone.

I have around 8 gig of system resources, 5 gig of music, 5 gig of pictures, 10 gig of space taken up by apps, around 250mb of map files and 250 mb of documents.

Ceaser, I had to restart my device when a problem like that occured on my phone.

Lots of diverse kinds of silly bugs presents with this Win10. Here are my own share of it:
- blurry, low resolution rear camera pictures
- only one of the two SIMs can toggle between 2G and 3G. The other is restricted to 2G.
- among others....

Such bugs has also been reported on my Win 10 powered PC. It's crazy!

Seems like the problem is with the app.
I have a Lumia920 (Win8.1) at home. I'll try it tonight to see if the app can install.

Yes but You wont find it on ur wp after the transfer. Use pc or use a file explorer that supports ftp

Do you also notice the triple blink when you change a song on Groove?
Or that weird blink that happens when you open an app?
Or the inability to copy and paste data across apps?

I hope they release regular updates to fix these issues. I already sent a report using the Windows Feedback app.

As in!! It's hard to believe. Been using my 920 for 3 yrs, and 930 for 1.5 years, and both still have more than 5GB remaining.
