I dnt really understand some thing, when a state is under emergency rule who becomes the chief security officer? You pass all sort of blames on shettima who wasn't the chief security officer as at the time of the kidnap. I remember vividly borono state was governed by the presidency for the period of emergency. So I think the fed government and security agencies in borono state then should be blamed for there inefficiency. What do we have to say on the issue of mr GEJ that it took 2 weeks to react on the issue??

THIS MAN ISNT FIT TO BE A GOVERNOR. FOR THE FEAR THAT HIS PLAN WILL BE BLOWN OPEN , HE THEREFORE KEPT MUTE, WAITING FOR THE PRESIDENT TO REPORT TO HIM ON WHAT HAPPENED IN HIS STATE.GOD IS WATCHING AND WHATEVER SIN COMMITTED MUST BE ANSWERED

Only one genuine reason made him not to call Abuja immediately those girls were taken. That reason is "to make sure they were not rescued, because he is the grand planner of the abduction just for political reason known to him and some few APC members. A call to Abuja immediately may have resulted to immediate action that might lead to their rescue. He started talking about it when he was sure the plans have been perfected and those girls cannot be found again.
case closed. You nailed it. One bottle for you. Thunder is doing push up for that so called governor.

Shettima must be the definition of the word Stupidd.

Imagine if he is the manager of Dangote Group in NW region and BH attacks their facilities. The question will be

Is it Dangote that will call the branch manager to get the full scale of report?

Will he sit down and do nothing because he THINKS the security agents of the company has brief Dangote

Who supervises that security men in that company?

Shettimma is just part of the problem of what is wrong with this country. Illiterates filling position of trust
you didn't read the article before you rant, he said since the state was on emergency rule, security of the state was vested to Jonathan and the security operative report to the president directly, shetima was just there as a figure head

If Nigeria is a company Shettimma will be sacked... undecided
In a sane country Shettimma will resign or will be inpinched for act of negligence. undecided

All the Northern forum/group is not calling for the head of shettimma because of sentiments(my own personal and the same party member)
Shettimma refuse/fought to adhere to Wike instruct that the school will go to another local govt to write the waec.

FBI for don put shettimma on 24hrs surveillance because of that single act

This is completely a foolish man, he's the one in charge of the State's security and the only one who can pressurize the then President.
Dr. Jonathan also bluffed by waiting for that long.
This shows that both of them are not concerned about the welfare of the people they swore an oath to safeguard.

I guess you did not read the paragraph that states that's the Nigerian President/Governor protocol. And didn't you read his state was under state of emergency which makes it directly govern by Mr. President as regards to security, so this two events are enough to justify his reasons.

I stopped reading the article when I realised that a state of emergency wa in place when the incident happened, how on earth will a governor still be governing with a state of emergency in place, I think uncle JO got it wrong there too. No justification for the Gov. For nt callin as well

Did the State of Emergency stop him (Gov. Shettima) from receiving his due monthly wages as Governor of the State? Did it deny him his allowances? Did it stop him from driving with escorts along the streets of Maidugri? All I can answer is NO! So why do you think the declaration (State of Emergency) hindered him from putting through a call (Just a CALL) to the President?
Ok, let's look at it from this question: Your dad places a phone call restriction at home and one day something critical happens that requires his notice... Would you rather wait he calls to ask after or put a quick call through, not minding the restriction, just to brief him on the unfortunate scene?

I still believe that there's more to this chibok girls saga than meets the eyes. Lately, we've heard of series of combat successes recorded by the Nigerian Army, together with some rescues, but we're yet to hear that the girls have been rescued. And I ask, "Why are the girls not among the rescued?"

I thought I was the only one reading Mr Shettima's mockery of intelligence or common sence and was like what the ... is this man saying ? Can he listen to himself.
Well I don't blame him, he should not even have been governor then if not for the grand hatred the northern politicians and leaders had for GEJ. Who told him under OBJ he would have even had a say or any kind of power under a state of emergency in Borno.
I Dont blame. He thinks everyone is an idiot.
Re: Why I Didn’t Call GEJ After Chibok Girls Were Abducted By Boko Haram — Borno Gov by Inspectahdeck(m): 7:29pm On Apr 03, 2016
Your example doesn't apply in this case.

But, I will blame the political system we have in Nigeria Where political parties put party above national issues. Also, shettima was wrong not to call the president to brief him on the situation on ground. I seriously blame gej for maintaining the governors during the state of emergency.

Shettima is a fool. Who's d chief security of d state? So, he wanted those under him to do his work for him? What happen to d proverb which says hearing from d horse's mouth?
The simple fact was that GEJ shot himself on the foot,as at the time the incident occurred there was a state of emergency in the state which technically means the governor is not in charge of any issue concerning the state. Because GEJ wanted to please the northern elite and He was not ready to upset the apple cart (which is weakness if you ask me) he left the governor.
So when the incident took place the ideal situation would have been that the interim governor would reach the president but because the president did not take charge as he was supposed to.I'm not trying to absolve Shettima of any blame I'm only saying our former President did give the space for all that happened to happen."the man that changes his name to a horse, causes people to ride him"-Ola Rotimi.

it's a pity that the colonial masters forced this marriage on us.

no light, no fuel, cost of living has skyrocket, jobs are being lost every month, we have a tourist president who wants to travel roumd the world in 80 days with only pictures to show us as achievements, and some fools will come here and tell us to be patient.

they claim to be fighting corruption but what we see are media trials. this week efcc will claim to find $1 million in a soakaway with no pictorial proof. not even in court.

i can imagine a lot of kids who are yet to fend for themselves making up the zombies pack so i'm not bothered.

i feel this is my punishment for blindly voting this bastard of a president. a cow that will not sit in one place and solve our problems.

abeg how many countries has the tanzanian president visited before the breeze of change is starting to blow there.
this heat is making my blood boil i swear
First of all, you did not blindly vote for Buhari because you didn't vote for Buhari. You never did. Gej had always been your hero . So don't feed us that crap about you regretting that you voted for PMB. Secondly, no sitting government was ousted. You're making it sound like it was a coup detat. Well for your information GEJ contested for and lost an election. He was defeated! Ever been conversant with the word 'defeat '? You, my friend , and every other bloke who wail for a living, are nothing but bad loosers. Leave this administration alone and stop getting erections anytime someone takes a swipe at Buhari. He has good intentions for this country . Go channel your mojo on something constructive and progressive. OK?

The problem of nigeria is not corruption, bribery, fuel scarcity etc. Our common problem is the politicians. If only nigerians could see tins beyond. Look @ what this man is saying. And people stil vote for him as a governor. Another tins to note. Nigeria we should not be fooled. Why did d governor refused 2 called d president wen matter like this is so important, are we sure their are chibok girls?

This statement is very shameful. It goes to show high level of incompetence by the Chief security officer. I believe with time more revelations will come out. If only....he would been impeached or asked to resign by now. My child will always say "shame! Shame!! Shame!!!. It is even to see this Governor always wearing a clean, expensive well-starched dress. As a matter of fact this government should endeavour to collect money swallowed , resigned and form another government.
Buhari reputation is at stake here. I would advice him to dis allowed his named been tanished.
He should form a new party and am sure nigeria would stil vote for him.
If this government continued like this we are all going to be ruined because blood .innocent blood had been shed just for Buhari to be the president of this country for no reason . Imagine how many life been lost.

Irresponsibility at its heights, just imagine the stupid talk a human being is spewing out just because they carefully ensured their own are not victims.

If this was a man with a conscience, over 200 girls under your watch were abducted I'm the middle of the night you didn't raise any alarm. Is it to allow the criminals free passage or what. This man ought to be publicly executed because he is culpable in that incident. God will surely arrest them all one by one.
