A journalist said he will answer a Super Eagles call up if he gets it. It is his interest in Nigeria that sparked the debate.

Please, Wilfried Bony scored a total of 25 EPL goals for Swansea. 16 in his first season. Go to Wikipedia and look at his career statistics.

Do you mean the other 9 goals doesn't count or no longer scored in the EPL? grin

Or are you counting only league goals? grin

Remember, Iheanacho only scored 3 goals in the the League while Solanke scored 7 goals in the Eredivisie. grin.

How can the other nine count when we are talking of Bony's performance in his first season?

In Bony's first season in the EPL, he scored 16 goals. That is, 2013-2014 season.

The EPL is one League. We can not count other goals when we are talking League goals.

When Bony scored 31 goals in 30 League games, it was only in the Eredivisie. No there competition. If we want to add that, then we call total games.

The 25 goals he scored is total games. The discussion was in respect of the Eredivisie and the EPL.

Iheanacho has three goals in three starts. Solanke has seven goals in Seventeen starts. That is the difference.

Iheanacho's start to goal ratio is flawless but Solanke's own isn't.

The boy has the ability and he should raise his game.

grin That is a pass mark for someone who scored 3 goals in his first season in Eredivisie and 12 goals in his second season in the Eredivisie and came all the way to score 16 and 11 goals in his first and second season respectively in the EPL.

Don't you think so?

The point is that Bony had a smoking form the season before he joined Swansea. 31 goals in 30 matches is terrific.

Going from that to 16 goals in 34 matches is a bad drop. It shows he met tougher oppositions and defenders than he faced at the Eredivisie.

That means statistically speaking Iheanacho should be dropped for Sadiq Umar because he had 2 goals in two starts. Waoh! Is goal ratio is more flawless than Iheanacho and Solanke. grin

Who said that? First of all, the EPL is a tougher ground. Second, he has two games and Nacho has three. Thirdly, Nacho has shown the same consistency in another competition.

So, I will tip Nacho over Sadiq but I will like to see Sadiq get more games to see if he can maintain the consistency.

If Sadiq can maintain the consistency, then there is something special there.

It seems you do not understand the post.

Graziano Pelle
Eredivisie
First season = 27 goals
Second season = 23 goals.

Epl
First season = 12 goals
Second season = 9 goals so far.

This alone shows how far difficult it is in the EPL.

Even these statistics are misleading. grin

I am not like you who makes a player I support the only thing that matters. I feel and believe Iheanacho is a bright talent and I feel Griezmann at the moment is better.

I want Iheanacho to improve his game and watch how Griezmann plays.

I see a fierce competition between Nacho and Osimhen. I feel there is a weapon growing there. I want Iheanacho to bring in more to his game if he wants to be among the elites in the game.

Unlike you who is looking for anything to prove an average performance is the best thing.

So how did I combine the two seasons as one as you want to combine Bony's first and second season as his EPL goals in a season.

I said Bony scored 16 goals in his first season in the EPL. You said no. 25 goals.

I told you it is not true that in one season he scored 16. You said is it not two seasons?

So please show me where I combined two seasons as one. Because, that clearly showed me separating each season.

Point of correction. Serie A is no less inferior or less tougher ground to EPL.

Secondly, Iheanacho played 21 matches and saw 424 minutes of game time with just 3 goals while Sadiq Umar only played 6 matches and saw a total of 188 minutes of football with 2 goals. grin

Check am again and tell who is more prolific?

Meaning if he had more game time, he could do better than Iheanacho and Solanke, right? grin

When did I say that an Eredivisie good goal scorer can not score in the EPL. I am asking you, which of the league is harder.

If you do not know, why are you arguing.

The best player of the Eredivisie in recent years, Bony is benching in Man City.

That is enough to tell you how difficult it is in the EPL.

Pelle benches in some games.

This is what i replied

Sorry, Bonny scored 25 goals in his first season in EPL grin
11 goals in the second season grin

In the Eredivisie

3 goals in the first season grin

15 goals in the second season grin

First season in EPL 25 goals, ok minus the EPL league Cup goals, 25 - 9 = 16 goals EPL goals grin

Second season in EPL 11 goals. Abi i lie? grin

First season in Eredivisie 3 goals only.
Second season in Eredivisie 15 goals

As you can see,

I say yes. Mikel is playing some of the ball of his Defensive Midfield career. He has the weight of experience, he is a Passer but Coach Siasia should not play that two in the midfield again.

As much as Mikel played well I'm the two games in Alexandria, Egypt there was no balance in the midfield until Iwobi entered. This happened in both games.

I feel a Mikel, Azubuike, Iwobi partnership will be ideal. I do not trust Onazi to stay disciplined at the back. Onazi caused us to fail in a lot of games with his reckless running forward and leaving us exposed at the back.

Last year, I had Onazi as a potential over-aged member of the squad due to his past senior performances. I think if he is deployed as an AMF, he could still be useful to the Dream Team.

Leon Balogun could be another overaged choice in defense too.

Yes, Onazi's experience would be vital in a competition of this nature.

Another reason why I would like Onazi and Balogun to be in that squad to Rio is because they also belong to this generation. Omeruo, Onazi, Ajagun, Ramon Azeez all played U17 together. Leon Balogun is pretty young too and his game seems to be on the rise. Victor Moses is 25 and would likely be around for many more years to come, he is my 3rd over-age pick.

I would like the New look Super Eagles to be built from Rio.

Onazi's playing time is reduced at Lazio. So I think Coach Siasia should go with a player he is familiar with than Onazi who is not seeing much games now.

SIASIA PROPOSES COLOMBIA, HONDURAS FRIENDLY MATCHES

April 5, 2016

Dream Team VI Head Coach, Samson Siasia, has submitted his programme for the Rio 2016 Olympic football event after his adventure with the Super Eagles failed to qualify Nigeria
for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The coach, whose fate will be tabled before the expanded meeting of the board of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Sports Minister Solomon Dalung today, told reporters that his Olympic blueprint incorporated proposal for friendly matches to be played with Columbia and Honduras.

If ratified by NFF, the matches will he played in Brazil, where Nigeria will camp for one month after an extensive training in Europe.

Siasia said he planned to open a training camp in Nigeria with a legion of home-based players as soon as the federation approves his programme.

“We will go into camp with some home-based players the moment we get the green light from the federation. The exercise will allow us assess the boys to determine if some of them can be included in the final 23-man squad for the Olympic Games. We hope to camp in Europe and spend one month in Brazil, where we will play friendly matches with Honduras and Colombia,” Siasia stressed.

While he was away as the caretaker coach of the Eagles, Fatai Amoo was put in charge of the U-23 team which stunned Brazil 1-0 in a friendly match, organised by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) at the Estadio Kieber Andrade in Caciacica Vittoria.
